Title: Germination
Aim: To investigate how many seeds germinate after 1,2 to 5 days of being Soaked, for two
different kinds of beans.
● To calculate the percentage germination for each day.
● To design a suitable way of showing this information on a graph.
Material: 10 Seeds of the same kind
Paper Towel
1 suitable container to hold all seeds at once
1 spray bottle
Method:
31. 10 Seeds were obtained and checked for damages.
32. 10 seeds were accounted for and set aside in a clean vessel.
33. Using an appropriate vessel the bottom of it was lined with paper tissue using a two layer
bed.
34. A spray bottle was used to saturate the paper towel.
35. The seeds were placed onto the paper tissue
36. The seeds were sprayed lightly.
37. The container with the seeds were set aside
38. A suitable table was then created for observation.
39. Observations were made on a daily basis for 5 days.
40. Steps 1-9 were repeated for the second bean
