[ Sorting Pictures ]
1. Check the back of the photos. Four of them are from Simon’s Classic Photos, and
four are from Retro Photography.
2. The ones from Simon’s Classic Photos lead to the first crime scene. The one from
Retro Photography lead to the second crime scene.
[ Computer Unlock ]
1. Use the password hint from the computer with the crossword puzzle on the back
of the news article.
2. Each coordinate will get you one letter. Do not count the black squares.
3. The password will start with “sa…”
[ Crime Scene 1 ]
1. You will need to find where the four photos from Simon’s Classic Photos were
taken. Look through them carefully and make note of what you see.
2. One photo shows the location is near CR 182. One photo shows the location is in a
forested area. One photo shows the location is near a boating area. And one
photo shows the location is near a pine tree.
3. So you are looking for a location that contains a boating area, a pine grove, and
is near CR 182.
[ Developing Film Puzzle ]
1. You will need to have opened the Crime Scene One envelope before you can do
this puzzle. Use the paper with symbols and letters found on the I Am The
Darkroom Devil website with the photo development sheet.
2. Rearrange the columns of letters so that the symbols are in the order found on
the photo development sheet.
3. The message you get will start with “If only I had…”
[ Crime Scene 2 ]
1. You will need to find where the four photos from Retro Photography were taken.
Look through them carefully and make note of what you see.
2. Each of the four photos has a time in it. Place the photos in chronological order
then find the locations in the first three photos (the one taken from inside the
car).
3. These locations are all on the same street and based on the times you know that
the car was heading southeast/south. So what storage business is in that area?
There will be only one storage business in that area.
[ Raven Photos ]
1. You will need to have opened the Crime Scene Two envelope before you can do
this puzzle. There is a message on the back of one of the polaroids that has the
clue you need to solve this puzzle.
2. The message mentions that if all of the birds were in one photo they would form
the shape of two letters.
3. Use the clouds in the background as reference points and draw out where the
birds would be if they were in one photo. Tip: Drawing circles in place of the birds
will make it easier to draw and easier to see the letters. You will get two
groupings.
[ Crime Scene 3 ]
1. Use the film strips to find the third location.
2. Start at the water tower on Cheshire Rd. Be sure to start in front of the tower and
head east, since the west side is closed.
3. Follow the directions. You will end up on a street/road with only one gas station.
That is the location of crime scene three.
[ Mr. Drakes Burgers & Shakes Maze ]
1. You will need to have opened the Crime Scene Three envelope before you can do
this puzzle.
2. Follow the directions to complete the path. You will use the total of all the
numbered squares you pass through.
3. The first five moves are 1, 7, 8 , 9 , 3… once you have completed the path add up
all the numbers. You will get a three digit number.
[ Zachary’s Unlock ]
1. You will need to have opened the Crime Scene Three envelope before you can do
this puzzle.
2. Follow the directions to complete the path. You will use the total of all the
numbered squares you pass through.
3. The first five moves are 1, 7, 8 , 9 , 3… once you have completed the path add up
all the numbers. You will get a three digit number.
[ Suspect Eliminations ]
There are 6 ways to eliminate suspects. You will have to use all six to be left with one
suspect. Who, if you have done everything right, will be the killer.

Crime Scene One


1. There is a clue in the journal paper at crime scene one from the killer.
2. The puzzle using the paper from the website and the photo development sheet
reveals something about the killer. Use this will what Officer Hamilton says.
Crime Scene Two
1. There is a clue in the journal paper at crime scene two from the killer.
2. The polaroids of the birds give you a way to eliminate suspects.
Crime Scene Three
1. There is a clue in the journal paper at crime scene one from the killer. You will
need the map and you will need to know where the victims' workplaces are.
2. Solving the burger puzzle for Zachary will get you the information for the killer’s
weight.
[ Killer Envelope ]
1. You will need to have solved all of the puzzles from the crime scene and
eliminated all of the suspects but one before you can attempt this.
2. Check the previous page for where to find the clues on eliminating suspects.
3. For more details on how the suspects are eliminated, check the “Suspect
Elimination” page in the Solution Files.
[ Desk Unlock ]
1. Compare the photos taped to the desk drawer to the photo info paper to get the
numbers you need.
2. The photos are in the correct order.
3. You are looking for a 4 digit number to unlock the drawer.
[ Menu Puzzle/Phone Unlock ]
1. You will need to have the desk drawer unlocked before you can solve this puzzle.
2. Inside the drawer you will find a receipt with a total.
3. The message on the sticky note mentions that the killer orders three things.
What three things on the menu will equal the total from the receipt?
