Future Career: Oncologist

● June 2024
a. Receive El Capitan High School Diploma.
● August 2024
a. Start pursuing my Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular, Cellular,
Developmental Biology at Yale University.
● May-June 2025
a. Participate in STARS Summer Research Program, volunteer at the HAVEN Free
Clinic, and at the New Haven Hospital to gain clinical experience. Start studying
for the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test)
● May-June 2026
a. Take the MCAT at the end of sophomore year and continue participating in
research.
● May-June 2027
a. Apply to medical schools across the country and finish up my junior year classes.
● May 2028
a. Complete remaining senior year courses, write senior thesis, and graduate with
my Bachelor of Science Degree.
● August 2029
a. Begin medical school.
● May 2033
a. Graduate from medical school with an M.D. degree.
● June 2033
a. Start a residency program in internal medicine.
● June 2036
a. Complete internal medicine residency.
● July 2036:
a. Begin oncology fellowship.
● June 2040
a. Become board-certified oncologist and start practicing.
