PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS

● Vale lembrar que o P.P (present perfect) é quando usamos o HAVE/HAS

como auxiliar para falar sobre coisas que aconteceram no passado ou
acabaram de acontecer mas ainda fazem sentido no presente.

Ex: My father has just died. That's why my mother is crying today.
I’ve lost my keys.
You’ve just crossed the red line.

● O verbo "CONTINUOUS" é uma ação que está acontecendo, para

representar isso nós usamos o ING.

Ex: She is eating the cake.

I’m living abroad.
My father likes walking with his dog.

● Quando juntamos essas duas formas, nós criamos o Present perfect

continuous. Que é uma ação que não foi concluída no passado e ainda está
acontecendo.
● Para formarmos o P.P.C nós usamos sempre o verbo to be. A forma de
escrever essas orações são: Sujeito + verbo to have no simple present +
verbo to be no present perfect + verbo principal com –ing +
complemento. Ou seja:

I (sujeito) + have (p.p) + been (to be no p.p) + loving (verbo com ing) +
you since the day I saw you for the first time (complemento).
/Eu amo você desde o dia que eu te vi pela primeira vez/

Ex: She has been eating cake all week.

I’ve been drinking a lot of water in order to lose weight.
you’ve been messing with my kids since last night.

● A forma negativa é, assim como as demais formas, acrescentar o NOT junto

ao verbo auxiliar da frase (HAVE/HAS).

Ex: He hasn’t been working lately.

I haven’t been shopping, that’s why we don’t have food.
They haven’t been selling too many hot dogs.
● A forma interrogativa nós invertemos a posição do verbo auxiliar com o
sujeito.

Ex: Have you been working all day long?

Has she been parking here during the week?
Haven’t we been studying a lot?
