1. Analyzing the total 182908 cases disposed in the three deferent courts by 40 different Judges, the
common court, the Municipal court and the domestic Relation court disposed 20.03%,16.67% and 59.30%
respectively. For Common Pleas Court, the probability of cases being appealed and reversed is 0.0401 and
0.0045 respectively. That of Municipal Court is 0.0035 and 0.006. and 0.0046 and 0. 0010 for Domestic
Relations Court. You will notice that appeals are more likely at the Common Pleas Court.
2. The probability of a case being appealed for each judge is as calculated above. Judges Ralph Winkler is
ranked the lowest in the probability of appeal for Common Pleas court while Judge Ronald Panioto and Karla
Grady has the lowest ranking in the probability of appeal for Domestic Relations and Municipal Courts.
3. The probability of a case being reversed for each judge is as calculated above in the table. Judges
Ralph Winkler is ranked the lowest in the probability of reversed cases for Common Pleas court while Judge
Ronald Panioto and Judge Karla Grady/Deidra Hair (whose ranking are same) has the lowest ranking in the
probability of reversed cases for Domestic Relations and Municipal Courts.
4. The probability of a reversal given an appeal for each judge is given in column P(R│A) of the different
tables. Judges Thomas Nurre, Ronald Panioto and Karla Grady/Deidra Hair (whose ranking are same) got the
lowest ranking on the probability of reversal for the three different courts respectively.
5. I computed the rankings based on probabilities in columns P(A),P( R ) and P(R│A) on the table above .I
then summed up the 3 rankings to come up with a total ranking for each judge as shown in columns as Sum
Of Rank in all the tables .Judge Ralph Winkler ,Karla Grady and Ronald Panioto are the highest ranked judges
in the three different Courts.urts.
