Ejemplo: “She is as tall as her sister.”

 As… as: Funciona de manera similar a “as”, pero se utiliza con adverbios para
establecer comparaciones. Ejemplo: “He runs as fast as the wind.”

 Not as… as / Not so… as: Se emplean para mostrar que dos cosas no son
iguales en algún aspecto. Ejemplo: “This book is not as interesting as the last
one I read.”

 Than: Se utiliza para comparar dos cosas que son diferentes. Ejemplo: “She is
taller than me.”

 As if / As though: Estos conectores se usan para expresar que algo parece ser de
cierta manera. Ejemplo: “He acts as if he were the boss.”
EN INGLES:

Connectors are words and phrases that link the phrases, sentences, and paragraphs of a text.
In this way, they help the sender to organize the discourse and guide the interpretation of
their receiver, contributing to the logical sequence or coherence of the ideas and the
cohesion between the parts that make up the text.

On the other hand, comparison connectors are words or phrases that are used to relate two
or more ideas, showing similarities or differences between them.

These connectors are critical for expressing comparisons and contrasts, enriching
communication and allowing for greater precision and clarity when speaking or writing in
English

Some examples are:

• Ace: Used to compare two items that are the same in some way. Example: "She is as tall as
her sister."

•Ace... as: It works similarly to "as," but is used with adverbs to make comparisons. Example:
"He runs as fast as the wind."

• Not as... as / Not so... as: They are used to show that no two things are the same in some
respect. Example: "This book is not as interesting as the last one I read."

• Than: Used to compare two things that are different. Example: " She is taller than me."

• As if/As though: These connectors are used to express that something appears to be a
certain way. Example: "He acts as if he were the boss."
