The rule that we need to know for present perfect is the next one:

SECTION 2. Ever / Never.

Ever means 'at any time'. Never means 'at no time' or 'not at any time'.
( Ever significa “ en cualquier momento” , y Never “en ningún momento” o “nunca en la vida”).

SECTION 3. Make and Do.

We use 'make' when we create or construct something. For example:


( Usamos make cuando construimos o creamos algo )

● She made a cake.


● I've made us some coffee.
● Did you really make those trousers?

We use 'do' for general activities. In this case, 'do' is often used with 'something',
'nothing', 'anything' or 'everything':
( Usamos do para actividades en general , Do es usualmente usado con “Something, Nothing ,
anything & everything.

● What did you do on the weekend?


● I didn't do anything yesterday.
● She's fed up with doing everything herself. She needs some help.
● Are you doing anything interesting during the holidays?

SECTION 4. CAN , HAVE TO , MUST, SHOULD.

We often use must for more personal opinions about what it is necessary to do, and
have to for what somebody in authority has said it is necessary to do.

Usually, CAN is used to give options or explain that you have the ability to do
something, while SHOULD is used to give a personal opinion.
