Assignment – My favorite restaurant

Now it's time for you to do the task for this week. Read the instructions below. Remember
that if you need to review a topic, you can always check the course material as many times
as you need. Keep in mind that you have to present this task during week 15.

1. Activity Learning Outcome

Through this activity, students write a text describing their favorite restaurant and what
they like about it using the grammar and vocabulary learned in Weeks 14 and 15.

2. Description

• Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs or groups of 3).


• Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
o Situation: Students choose a restaurant together and describe it. They
describe the food and drinks it offers, the service, the prices, etc. Students
mention how often they go to that restaurant and who goes with them.
o Content:
 Vocabulary and expressions from Unit 4 (Weeks 14 -15)
 Prices
 Adjectives to describe a restaurant
 Present simple: affirmative and negative sentences
 Countable and uncountacle nouns
 Quantifiers some/ any/ a lot of
 There is/ There are
• Step 3: Write the text together with your classmate(s).
• Step 4: Review the content, grammar, and spelling of your text together. Present it
on a single Word sheet.
• Step 5: Once you check your text, attach a cover to your writing and upload it to the
Canvas platform. Write your name and last name on the cover. Include your photo.

De acuerdo al artículo 46 del Reglamento de Disciplina, toda evidencia de plagio, durante o posterior a la
evaluación, anulará el resultado de la evaluación.

Se considera plagio a la copia de información parcial o total de fuentes de información o de páginas de


internet, así como a la copia del trabajo de otro grupo, estudiante, docente, o consulta a persona externa a la
universidad.

En los casos a que se refiere el párrafo anterior, si se comprueba la falta, el estudiante obtiene la calificación de
“cero anulado” (0A) como nota final del curso, sin perjuicio de recibir la sanción disciplinaria correspondiente.
