A. UVOTE ELECTION MANAGEMENT UTILITY

- Major 2 components:
a. Election Management Utility
b. Voting System
• Preparation
a. Database of voters of pre-ppulated
- All colleges except GR-2nd sem SY 2021-2022 students
b. Database of positions/seats to be elected and default name of political
parties is also pre-populated.
• Prerequisites
a. List of candidates (encoded in pre-formatted excel file-offline copy
b. Copy of scanned photo (JPG/PNG) of each candidate
c. Email address of the representative of each dept/college (at least 2
representative) to confirm the official list/access the website
• Components
a. User Login - You will be provided with a username and a password to
access the UVOTE Utility Page
b. Candidate Manager
Step 1: Upload the excel file containing the list of candidates
- Provided by an empty candidate file.
- Input Area (column A-C). You have to input data about the position,
candidate, and the party. (Position, Student No., Name, Department,
Party)
Step 2: Upload the photo of the candidates
Step 3: Confirm Candidates
- Examine the list of candidates. Repeat Step 1 and or Step 2 to fix the
issues
Step 4: Post the List of Candidates
* Request for confirmation
* If no correction, open the election.
c. Official List Report
-Election can’t be open without the confirmation of all the dept/colleges
d. Period Manager
-candidate posting is no longer possible once the election period has
begun
e. Election Turnout Report
f. Election Result Report (No initial election result)

-you may send a pdf copy of the election result to your email address
-the election result is not sent to the departments

B. VOTING SYSTEM
- Through UNC Student Portal under “My Tools”
1. On the UVOTE Welcome Page, click GET STARTED.
2. To vote for a candidate, click the VOTE button next to their name.
3. To proceed to the next position, click NEXT. To go to a specific position, click
the navigation tree on the left hand side.
4. To go over the list of candidates you've chosen, click REVIEW BALLOT.
5. To vote, click SUBMIT BALLOT. If you want to change your vote, click
MODIFY.

NOTE:

• Election: May 30-June 2

• Official list of candidates.
• Send an email to Mr. Dex regarding the 2 representatives who will access the
website
