Pie graph is a graph in the form of a circle; divided into sectors whose relative areas
represent the frequencies of the given set of data.

To compute the angle: degrees= frequency x 360°÷ Total

To get the percentage: %= frequency x 100 ÷ Total

Bar graph is a graphical presentation of data using bars which can be drawn either
horizontally or vertically.

WAYS OF PRESENTING DATA

Tabular- presenting data using tables to show relationship between rows


and columns quantities.
Graphical- visual representation of data. It is a picture that displays
numerical information. There are several types of statistical graphs.
Textual presentation- the data are represented in a paragraph form.

Line graph is a graph that uses line segments to show the quantitative changes or trend
in a given set of data over a period of time.

Histogram a chart that plots the distribution of a numeric variable's values as a series of
bars.

MEASURES OF CENTRAL TENDENCY

Mean- commonly referred to as the average of all values.


Mode- the most frequent scores in the given set.
Median- the middle score in the list after the scores are arranged in decreasing
or increasing order.

Data collection is the systematic approach to gathering and measuring information from
a variety of sources to get a complete and accurate picture of an area of interest.

Data collection enables a person or organization to answer relevant questions, evaluate


outcomes and make predictions about future probabilities and trends.

METHODS OF DATA COLLECTION

Interview- this method is referred to as direct method gathering data because this
requires a face to face inquiry with the respondent.
Questionnaire- this method is referred to as the indirect method of gathering data
because this makes use of written question to be answered by the respondent.
Observation- this method makes use of different human senses in gathering
information.
Registration or Census- this method requires the enactment of law to take effect
because it needs the participation of a large, if not the entire population.
Experimentation- this method is usually conducted in laboratories where
specimens are subjected to some aspects of control to find out the cause and
effect relationship.
Previous Information- search for relevant information from newspaper,
magazines world wide web, etc.
