Introduction:
A crime involving a computer or computer network used as a crime is referred to as cybercrime.
Either the computer was the intended target or it was used in the crime. Someone’s security or
finances may be compromised through cybercrime.
Internationally, espionage, financial theft, and other cross-border crimes are committed by both
state and non-state entities. Cyberwarfare is the term sometimes used to describe cybercrimes
that take place beyond national boundaries and include at least one nation-state. Cybercrime,
according to Warren Buffett, is “humanity’s number one problem” and “poses genuine hazards
to humanity.”

Cyber Crime has not been defined anywhere in the Information Technology Act, 2000. But it can
be generally defined as an unlawful act where in the computer is either a tool or a target or both.

to the fraudster. When she called on this number. the caller was so convincing in the
conversation that she did not even think of a scam even once. The scammer sent her a link and
asked her to register her complaint on it. Here when she expressed doubt about the link, the
caller told that he is not asking for OTP.
By doing this, the fraudster kept the woman confused and planted a suspicious app in her phone.
With the help of this app, he got full control of the woman’s phone.the scammer was able to
access her photos and other details.
To keep them trapped in his words, he used to share the information related to the train, which

the that man to download an app. After joining that app, the camera of that frauder was not
open. He asked that man to give an online exam and asked to open the screen share while giving
the exam. As soon as he did this, after some time OTP started coming in the phone. When he saw
the OTP, that OTP was from the bank account. He immediately stopped the screen share and
directly took action on it and went to the police station to complain. After that the next day went
to the bank and there he told to the manager about the case. The bank manager told him to write
an application and submitted it, Bank take action on that case after a few days his money was
returned to his account.

 Open unknown links.
 Open all permissions on the app.

How to stop it:

Cybercrime is not something that we are unable to handle on our own. Similarly, we can prevent
cybercrimes with a little help from logic and common sense.

In summary, cybercrime is a risky offence against someone's privacy or any material.

Additionally, by adhering to some basic reasoning and utilising common sense, we can prevent
cybercrime. Above all, cybercrime is against the law and a violation of human rights.

Conclusion:
Despite the fact that not everyone falls victim to cybercrime, they are nevertheless at risk. The
types of crimes committed by computers vary, and they don’t always take place in front of a
computer. The age of the hacker might range from 12 years old to 67 years old. The victim
wouldn’t even be aware that they were being hacked if the hacker lived three continents away.
The issue facing the 21st century is crimes committed while using a computer. With
advancements in technology, thieves no longer need to rob banks or be outside to conduct
crimes. On their laps, they have everything they require. They no longer use guns to assault;
instead, they employ mouse cursors and passwords.
