THE ISLAMIC WORLDVIEW & ITS APPLICATION IN LIFE (hand writing haa)

A worldview serves as a lens through which individuals perceive, interpret, and interact with
the world around them. Through perception, the way people interpret and make sense of the events,
circumstances, and phenomena they encounter is influenced by a person’s worldview. For the
emotion aspect, worldview plays a significant role in shaping how our emotions react to various
stimuli and experiences. Next, for action, a worldview acts as guidance for someone’s behavior in
making ethical decisions and differentiates between what is right and what is wrong. The following
are some of the fundamental characteristics that beliefs and belief systems have in common. Firstly,
they differ in their generalizability and strength. Second, they can emerge from experience and be
reinforced by culture, society, philosophy, and theology. Third, they play a crucial role in helping us
make sense of the world, who we are, and how we fit into it. Moreover, they have a close
relationship with behavior. Therefore, it seems logical to suggest that humans are hardwired to store
beliefs and use them to make sense of the world. Thirdly, they are essential in assisting us in
understanding the world, ourselves, and our place in it. Additionally, they are closely related to
behavior. Thus, the idea that people are predisposed to retain beliefs and use them to interpret their
environment makes sense.

Throughout my break from the last semester, a lot of things occurred in my life from which I
can learn lessons in the Islamic worldview. First of all, I learned that all of our deeds count as Ibadah
if they are good and done with the aim of submitting to Allah by dealing with Him, which is
accomplished through Ibadah. For example, helping our parents in the kitchen, cleaning the living
room, folding clothes, and other small acts of kindness are easy ways to conduct good actions with
Allah's blessings.
