STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES

K2tog: Knit 2 stitches together = right-leaning decrease.
P2tog: Purl 2 stitches together.
K3tog: Knit three stitches together = right-leaning double decrease.
P3tog: Purl 3 stitches together.
Ssk (slip, slip, knit): One at a time, slip 2 stitches knitwise, place stitches back on left needle and knit together through back loops = left-
leaning decrease.
Sssk (slip, slip, slip, knit): One at a time, slip 3 stitches knitwise, place stitches back on left needle and knit together through back loops =
left-leaning decrease.
Ssp (slip, slip, purl): One at a time, slip 2 stitches knitwise, place stitches back on left needle and purl together through back loops.
Sssp (slip, slip, slip, purl): One at a time, slip 3 stitches knitwise, place stitches back on left needle and purl together through back loops.
Sl 1: With yarn held behind, without knitting it, slip 1 stitch from left to right needle as if to knit.
Markers: Place marker between two stitches and slide to right needle as you come to each. Pm = place marker; sl m = slip marker

BODY
With color A and larger size circular, CO 140 (148, 160, 168, 180) sts. Join, being careful not to twist cast-on row, pm for beginning of rnd.
Knit around in stockinette for 1¼ (1½, 2, 2½, 2½) in / 3 (4, 5, 6, 6) cm.
Place the first 6 sts on a holder, k64 (68, 74, 78, 84), place next 6 sts on a holder, k64 (68, 74, 78, 84). Set body aside while you knit sleeves.

SLEEVES
With color B and smaller size dpn, CO 48 (52, 56, 62, 68) sts. Divide sts onto dpn and join. Knit around in stockinette for ¾ in / 2 cm (all sizes),
Purl 1 rnd for foldline and then knit in stockinette for another ¾ in / 2 cm.
Turn facing in along foldline and join cast-on with next rnd: insert needle into next st + into corresponding st from cast-on, k2tog. Join all sts
around the same way. If you think it is too difficult to join this way, you can sew down the edge later. However, knitting the stitches together
makes a fine finish.
Change to larger size dpn. Double the stitch count by working (k1, yo) around. On next rnd, knit each yarnover through back loop to prevent
large holes.
Continue knitting around until sleeve measures 1¼ (1⅜, 1½, 1½, 2) in / 3 (3.5, 4, 4, 5) cm. Place first 6 sts on a holder and join sleeve on
needle with body, matching the held underarm 6 sts.

Make second sleeve the same way.

RAGLAN SHAPING
There should now be 308 (332, 360, 392, 428) sts total.
With color A, knit 1 rnd. Pm at each intersection of body and sleeve. Work 5 rnds of raglan decreases at each marker as follows:*K2tog, k1, sl
m, ssk, knit until 2 sts before next marker, k2tog, sl m, k1, ssk*; rep * to * on next sleeve = 268 (292, 320, 352, 388) sts rem.

Now decrease only on the sleeves, on every rnd as follows:

*Knit to first marker, ssk, knit until 2 sts before next marker, k2tog*; rep * to * on next sleeve. Decrease the same way a total of 17 (20, 23, 27,
30) times = 200 (212, 228, 244, 268) sts rem = 46 (48, 50, 54, 60) sts rem on each sleeve.

Now divide for opening at center back. Each time you turn, slip the first st to make a fine edge st. K27 (29, 32, 34, 37) on back; turn and purl
to center of back again. Continue decreasing on every row and on WS, decrease as follows: *Purl to first marker, p2tog, purl until 2 sts
before next marker, ssp*; rep * to * on next sleeve. Continue the same way back and forth for 12 (11, 10, 10, 11) rows = 152 (168, 188, 204,
224) sts rem = 22 (26, 30, 34, 38) sts rem on each sleeve.

Now round sleeves for puffs.

On RS, decrease as follows: *Knit to first marker, sssk, knit until 3 sts before next marker, k3tog*; rep * to * on next sleeve.
On WS, decrease as follows: *Purl to first marker, p3tog, purl until 3 sts before next marker, sssp*; rep * to * on next sleeve.
Continue the same way back and forth for 5 (6, 7, 8, 9) rows = 2 sts rem on each sleeve and 112 (120, 132, 140, 152) sts rem.

Work 18 (19, 21, 22, 24) sts, place 20 (22, 24, 26, 28) sts on a holder – sleeve sts are in the middle of these.
Work 36 (38, 42, 44, 48) sts, place 20 (22, 24, 26, 28) sts on a holder – sleeve sts are in the middle of these.
Work 18 (19, 21, 22, 24) sts (= end of row) = 72 (76, 84, 88, 96) sts rem for neck.

Cut yarn. Seam shoulders and underarms with Kitchener st.

NECKBAND
Change to smaller size circular and color B.
Knit 1 row on RS, decreasing as follows: K22 (24, 24, 26, 30), *k2tog, k3*; rep * to * 6 (6, 8, 8, 8) times, knit rem sts = 66 (70, 76, 80, 88) sts rem.
Knit 1 row back.

Now work in ribbing.

At beginning of next row, make a buttonhole: Sl 1, p1, k1, yo, k2tog; work in p1, k1 ribbing to end of row. Work 3 more rows in ribbing with
knit over knit and purl over purl.
BO in ribbing. Make sure bind-off is not too tight. You do not need to cut yarn.

COLLAR
Change to larger size needle. Pick up and knit the first 33 (35, 38, 40, 44) sts. The first row is WS of collar: Sl 1, p1, *yo, p1*; rep * to * to last st
and end p1 = 63 (67, 73, 77, 85) sts.

Now work back and forth in stockinette with I-cord edgings as follows:
Row 1: Knit, working each yarnover as k1tbl.
Row 2: Slip first 3 sts, purl until 3 sts rem, sl 3.
Row 3: Knit.
Row 4: Slip first 3 sts, purl until 3 sts rem, sl 3.
Row 5: K2, ssk, knit to last 4 sts k2tog, k2.
Row 6: Slip first 3 sts, purl until 3 sts rem, sl 3.

Rep Rows 5 and 6 another 3 (3, 4, 4, 5) times = 8 (8, 10, 10, 12) sts decreased and 55 (59, 63, 67, 73) sts rem.
BO with I-cord with RS facing:
*K2, ssk, slip these 3 sts from right to left needle*; rep * to * until 6 sts rem. Seam rem sts with Kitchener st.

Make the second half of collar the same way. Gently steam press the collar under a damp pressing cloth to prevent collar from rolling up.

SKIRT
With color A and larger size circular, pick up and knit 140 (148, 160, 168, 180) sts from cast-on row.
Double the stitch count by working (k1, yo) around = 280 (296, 320, 336, 360) sts. On next rnd, knit each yarnover through back loop to

prevent large holes.
Knit around in stockinette until skirt measures 9¾ (11¾, 14¼, 16½, 19¼) in / 25 (30, 36, 42, 49) cm. Purl 1 rnd.

Change to smaller size circular and color B. Work around in stockinette for 1¼ (1¼, 1⅜, 1⅜, 1½) in / 3 (3, 3.5, 3.5, 4) cm. Fold contrast color
edging double and sew down on WS. Sew sts directly from needle or bind off first – whichever method you prefer.
Sew on one button at back neck and 2 decorative buttons on the front.

Tips & Shortcuts

To avoid questions: Before you begin knitting, read through the pattern.
Stitch count: Always knit or crochet a gauge swatch as recommended in the pattern. If your stitch count doesn’t match the gauge given in
the pattern, try again with larger or smaller needles or hook. If your gauge doesn’t match that in the pattern, your item will not be the
correct size or shape.
Highlight the size you will knit or crochet throughout the pattern to make it easier to follow the instructions.
Charts: It will be easier to follow a chart if you mark your row with a ruler and magnetic board or sticky note.
Ease: The amount of ease included in our garments varies depending on the type and shape of the garment. To determine the right size, we
recommend that you first measure your body. Then you can calculate the garment size depending on how much ease you want the
garment to have. The schematics for each piece show all the garment measurements.
Two-color stranded knitting: When knitting more than 3-4 stitches of the same color, twist the color strands around each other on the
wrong side to avoid long strands or “floats” on the back. If the yarns need to be twisted on several rows/rounds, make sure you do not stack
the twists in the same place to prevent the yarns from showing through on the right side.
Yarn alternative: Please be aware that the gauge (tension), yarn quantity and the shape of the work varies if you use another yarn (even in
the same yarn group).
Tips för hand dyed yarn: Make sure you have enough yarn to complete your project. The colors may vary from time to time. To get a smooth
color mix, you can alternate between two skeins: knit two rows from one and two rows from another skein.
