1 Workmen unloading material shall wear rubber gloves, mask,
shoulder pads and goggles for self protection
2 Reinforcement bars should be checked for heat no. wise MTC before
unloading at site. In case MTC is not available material should be
rejected
3 Before unloading reinforcement bars should be checked visually for
approved make, grade (tag shall be attached indicating cast / lot
number, grade and size )
Pre 4 Reinforcement bars shall be stored at the work site in a shed which is
weather proof on raised beams 200 mm above ground level and
covered with proper arrangments. Ensure diameter wise stacking
with tagging for diameter and with Pass / Fail status
5 Rolling margin / weight in meter per kg of reinforcement should be
checked and recorded by the concerned contractor and should be
within per permissible limits
6 Cutting and bending of reinforcement should be done as per
approved BBS only, appropriate mandrel size as per IS code should
be used for bending
7 All workmen shall wear rubber gloves, mask and goggles for skin,
dust and eye protection
8 Approved GFC drawing is available at site (at point of use)
9 Length of fixed bar is as per the approved reinforcement drawing
10 Bar number and spacing are as per drgs.
11 All stirrups are placed as per location
12 All the hooks are provided with bend inside the core
13 All the bars are tied with approved binding wires and free ends are
bent inside the core
14 Lap length is provided as per drawings
15 Lap length zone is as per structural details
16 Couplers if used, lap zone and staggering to be follow as per drawing

17 Tightening method is followed for couplers
18 Concrete covers are used at maximum spacing of 1000 mm in all
direction
19 Concrete spacers, covers etc. used are well cured & of same grade

20 Inserts if any, are inserted at the desired locations as per the drawing

21 All the electrical conduits are not provided in the cover zone
22 Excessive cranking / joggling of bars is not done (1:6 ratio is
suggested for unavoidable situations)
23 Provision of Dowels for next pour is provided as per the approved
schedule of steel
24 Visit and clearance from structural consultant is required for
important pours
25 Protruding bars (temporary support) if any used for support should
Post be cut inside cover zone
26 Concrete droppings fallen on bars should be removed and cleaned
