SECTION B: SUBJECTIVE TYPE QUESTIONS

Answer any 3 out of the given 5 questions on Employability Skills (2 x 3 = 6 marks)
Answer each question in 20 – 30 words.
Ans. 6 Prisha is likely to face: 2
• Linguistic Barrier: The inability to communicate using a language is
known as a language barrier.
• Cultural Barrier: These occur when people of different cultures are
unable to understand each other’s customs, resulting in inconveniences
and difficulties.
Ans. 7 Time management in self-management skills is important, because it helps 2
in following:
• Prioritise Tasks: Effective time management allows individuals to

prioritise tasks based on their importance and urgency.
• Goal Achievement: Effective time management helps in achieving long-
term goals by ensuring consistent progress towards their aspirations.
Use strong passwords: Always use strong passwords that are difficult to
guess. This would prevent unauthorised people from using your
computer.
Install Anti-viruses and a Firewall: Implementing reliable antivirus

software and a firewall is essential for monitoring your computer. Also,

they can detect and clean up viruses that may have entered a computer.

Answer any 4 out of the given 6 questions in 20 – 30 words each (2 x 4 = 8 marks)

Ans. 11 Four methods that the company can use for data collection are: 2
• Surveys
• Interviews
• Observations
• Reliable Websites
Ans. 12 Under problem scoping, we define the problem by looking at various 2
parameters that affect the problem we wish to solve so that we can set the
goal for the AI project.
The 4Ws Problem Canvas helps to identify four aspects of a problem: what
is the problem, who has a problem, where is the problem, and why it is
important to solve the problem. Thus, it identifies the key elements related
to the problem, which helps in problem solving and decision-making.
Ans. 13 The real-time applications of Computer Vision (CV) are: 2

• Self-driving cars CV is employed in self-driving cars to detect
obstructions and take the required actions while driving.
• Facial Recognition for Device Unlocking: CV is used in facial
recognition to identify and authenticate users based on their facial
features, enhancing security measures for device access.
Ans. 14 Syntax is the grammatical construction of a sentence, while semantics is 2
the meaning of a sentence. Issues like "same syntax, different meaning,
multiple meanings of a word, perfect syntax, no meaning" may be
challenges faced while developing NLP models.
Ans. 15 Bag of Words is a Natural Language Processing model where we get the 2
occurrences of each word and construct the vocabulary for the corpus. It
counts the frequency of each word in the document. The process involves:
Tokenization: Breaking down a text into individual words or tokens.
Counting: Creating a "bag" that contains the count of each word occurring
in the text.

Ans. 16 Outliers are values that are unusually far away from the central tendency 2
of the dataset. Outliers can occur in both directions; they can be unusually
high or unusually low. If outliers are taken into account during calculations,
the forecasts will not be correct since they do not fall within the general
range of values. To prevent this, the calculations should be done while
ps
keeping these extreme numbers separate.

Answer any 3 out of the given 5 questions in 50– 80 words each (4 x 3 = 12 marks)
Ans. 17 AI is the science and technology of making machines intelligent. It gives 4
the machines the ability to mimic or simulate human intelligence and
think, make decisions, predict the future, learn and improve on their
own, and behave like humans.

AI is important to increase efficiency by automating repetitive and

Ki
administrative tasks, promoting innovations in technology to solve the
complex problems that the world is facing, analysing big data to facilitate
faster and better decision-making, and helping provide a better and more
sustainable lifestyle for individuals. AI can help achieve the aims of the
SDGs and improve the overall quality of life of people around the world.

Applications of AI in different fields:

Healthcare: AI helps in medical image analysis, early diagnosis, and
personalised treatment of patients.
Education: AI is used for personalised learning, anytime, anywhere
education, and automating administrative tasks.

Ans. 18 (a) Supervised Learning: In a supervised machine learning model, the 4

dataset that is fed to the machine is labelled. The person who is training
the model knows the data he or she is working with. The sub-categories
are:
• Classification: The data is classified according to the labels.
• Regression: Such models work on continuous data.
(b) Unsupervised Learning: An unsupervised learning model works on
unlabelled dataset. This means that the data that is fed to the machine is

random and there is a possibility that the person who is training the
model does not have any information regarding it. The sub-categories
are:
• Clustering: The algorithm can cluster unknown data according to the
patterns or trends identified in it.
• Dimensionality Reduction: To reduce the dimensions of an entity
and still be able to make sense out of the data, we use
dimensionality reduction.
Ans. 19 Bar Charts: Bar charts can be used to compare the sales performance of 4
different products and categories at different time periods. This visual
representation makes it easy to identify top-performing products and
areas for improvement.

Pie Charts: These can be used to analyse the distribution of sales in

different product categories or regions. This helps in identifying the
contribution of each category to total sales and can be used to plan
marketing strategies.

Area Charts: They can be used to visualise cumulative sales trends over
time. This helps in understanding the overall growth or decline in sales

Ans. 20

and identifying peak periods.

Histograms: Histograms are useful for understanding the distribution of

sales values. They can be used to understand where customers spend
more money and make decisions accordingly.
