Executive Committee Meeting

On 9th October, a long overdue Executive Committee Meeting was held at Dunkin Donuts, Gulberg. The members who attended were Durdana Ghaffar, Masood Said, Yousaf Qureshi, Asim Aziz, Kashif ul Haq, Mustafa Ahmed, Fareesa Aziz and Amna Hamza. Important plans were discussed for the development of Lahore Toastmasters Club such conducting a regular meeting at the ICAP (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan) auditorium and holding of speech competitions. During the meeting, members enjoyed Dunkin Donuts tea and coffee.

Activity Report for the Month

Three meetings are being reported in this newsletter; 1st, 15th and 29th of October, 2011. Enthusiasm amongst participants was reasonable with many members rendering their projects. Funny One-Liners:
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on the list. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak. If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong. Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad. Children: You spend the first 2 years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next 16 years telling them to sit down and shut-up. The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. Evening news is where they begin with 'Good evening', and then proceed to tell you why it isn't. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.
