Aim: What are CASE tools? Give two examples of these tools along with their screenshots.
Solution:
CASE tools are set of software application programs, which are used to automate SDLC
activities. CASE tools are used by software project managers, analysts and engineers to
develop software system.
Types of CASE tools:
1. Analysis Tool
Requirements gathering, inconsistency checks, diagrams inaccuracy, redundancies in the data
etc. can be checked using analysis. For example, for requirement analysis are Accept 360,
Accompa, casecomplete etc. Total analysis can be done using visible analyst.
Countly- It offers a wide range of tools to help you build better products. It has a strong focus on
mobile and desktop applications, and enables you to bring together both qualitative and
quantitative insights. However many features, such as dashboards, funnel analysis, and retention
tracking are only available in the enterprise-level product.

Apache Superset-It is the third of the big open-source business intelligence tools alongside
Metabase and Redash. It's also considered the most complex and least accessible for non-
technical users, though its range of visualizations and charting options is unmatched.

2. Design tools
The block structure of the software can be designed by the software designers using design tools
which are again broken down into smaller modules using techniques of refinement. The detailing
of every module and the interconnections between the modules can be done using this.
Gliffy-It is a simple, easy-to-use diagramming tool that offers a range of templates and shapes
for system design. It integrates with many other tools and platforms, including Atlassian's
Confluence and Jira.

Draw.io –It is a free, open-source diagramming tool that offers many features for system design,
including cloud storage integration, collaboration features, and a wide range of shapes and
templates.
