This course is an introduction to
vehicle system and its
mechatronical controlled systems
which is one of the important
advances in the automotive field.
Underlying scientific principles
and their practical technology are
covered.

0.2 Course Objectives and Aims

MEC 461 Mechatronics and Automotive Systems


• Introduce the main systems of motor vehicle and their interrelations.
• Understand the theory and operation of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE).
• ICE circuits components and operations.
• Methodology of engine control.
0.3 Course Administration
• One lecture per week (Two units of academic time).
• One class per week (Two units of academic time).

• Weekly Assignment (Sheets).
• Quizzes on 5th and 11th weeks.
• Mid-term Exam on 8th week.
• Final Exam on 15th week.
