GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

2. The questions paper consists of 35 questions divided into four sections A, B, C and D
3. Section A comprises of 20 questions of 1 mark each. Section B comprises of 8 questions
of 2 marks each. Section C comprises of 4 questions of 3 marks each. Section D
comprises of 3 questions of 4 marks each.
4. There is no overall choice. However, an internal choices have been provided in three
questions of 2 mark each, two questions of 3 marks each, and two questions of 4 marks
each. You have to attempt only one of the alternatives in all such questions.

the perimeter of the rectangle.

rectangle of length 12cm, find its breadth. Which encloses more area, the square

a) The cost of a flower vase is Rs 120. If the shopkeeper sells it at a loss of


10%, find the price at which it is sold.

b) A shopkeeper bought a chair for Rs 375 and sold it for Rs 400. Find the gain
percentage.

c) 6 bowls cost Rs 90. What would be the cost of 10 such bowls?

34. a) From a circular card sheet of radius 14 cm, two circles of radius 3.5 cm and a 4
rectangle of length 3 cm and breadth 1cm are removed. (as shown in the adjoining
figure). Find the area of the remaining sheet. (Take π = 22/7 )

OR

b) The minute hand of a circular clock is 15 cm long. How far does the tip of the minute
hand move in 1 hour? (Take π = 3.14)

perpendicular bisector of seg BC.

bisector of ∠P.
