CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The Namibia Airports Company is a wholly State-owned company established in terms


of the NAC Act (Act no. 25 of 1998) and governed by the Public Enterprises Governance
Act (Act no.1 of 2019) and Companies Act (Act no.28 of 2004), to undertake the
operations, management, and control of certain aerodromes in Namibia, and to provide
for incidental matters.

POSITION: MANAGER AVIATION SECURITY & FACILITATION

Duty Station Head Office

Direct Supervisor Executive Airport Operations

To develop and maintain the standards for staffing,


Primary Purpose training, equipment’s, policies, procedures and work
instructions for the NAC Security, Quality control,
Facilitation and Aviation Security (AVSEC) training
programmes that are in line with the National Aviation
Security Programme. Assess or test the security system
deficiencies or as revealed by Internal Quality Control
(IQC) activities, Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)

oversight reports or any other relevant reports and
establish the risk factor and formulate the risk alleviating
interventions.

Bachelor’s degree on (NQF Level 7) in any of the

and Experience Aviation Management, Security/ Police Science or
Business Administration, or any related field to airport
management. Minimum 6 years of working experience,
of which at least 3 years should be at management level.
OR
Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in any of the following,
Airport Management, Aviation Administration, Aviation
Management, Security/ Police Science or Business
Administration, or any related field to airport
management with at least 4 years of working
experience.

• Aid and guide the development of the Facilitation
Programme for NAC airports in compliance with
the National Air Transport Facilitation
Programme and the recommended international
best practices in relation to facilitation.
• Assesses the adequacy of existing aviation
security arrangements, including aviation
security equipment and organization at airports
within Namibia considering the need to strike a
balance between AVSEC measures and
facilitation of air travel.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Customer Care
• Establishes and maintains productive
relationship with key stakeholders to promote
aviation security at NAC airports.
• Plan and coordinate with airport management
the implementation of the Security Management
System at the airports.
• Aid the development of policies to enhance the
management and operations of aviation security
services at NAC airports in compliance with

national and international civil aviation regulation
and best practices.
