• Ensure that the landside is protected at all times
Key Performance Areas • Ensure that inspection is conducted at the
landside–perimeter
• Undertakes inspection within the controlled areas
• Check security-restricted areas and prohibit
unauthorized persons from entering
• Check passengers and cabin baggage
• Carry out staff and crew screening
• Conducts aircraft security search
• Perform baggage screening
• Perform cargo and mail screening
• Observe and monitor airport supplies security
controls
• Observe and report all security threats
• Observe and report sabotage or damage on the
ground
• Check and report unruly or intoxicated
passengers
• Examines for weapons and armed individuals’
transportation
• Prepares security incident and accident reports
• Prevent cyber security within and outside the
airport premises
• Monitor security control room operations (CCTV,
etc)
• Conduct passenger profiling.
