Our client is an online market place tailored with African Businesses in mind. The
Organization, which is redefining business to business trade in Africa ,seeks to fill
the position of FULL STACK DEVELOPER .

Purpose of Role
The purpose of the role is to provide businesses with a user friendly and
well- designed online platform that enables them to move their
products seamlessly and with ease across borders.

In particular the role holder will be expected to ;

• Design, implement and Maintain user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js)
• Create responsive and user-friendly interfaces across devices
(desktop, mobile, tablet)
• Integrate UI components with APIs and back-end services
• Optimize website performance for speed and responsiveness
• Stay up to date with the latest front-end technologies and trends
• Develop and maintain server-side applications using appropriate
programming languages (e.g., Python, PHP, Java)
• Design and implement database solutions for product
information, customer data, and order processing
• Work with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.) to store and manage
product data, user information, and orders.
• Build secure and scalable APIs for front-end interaction
• Implement security measures to protect user data and transactions
• Troubleshoot and debug back-end issues
• Work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers
• Contribute to code reviews and maintain high coding standards
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
• Be proactive in identifying and resolving technical challenges
• Stay informed about e-commerce trends and best practices
Qualifications and Required Experience

Essential
• A Computer Science Degree or related field from a recognized university
• 3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with at least one front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue.js)
• Strong understanding of back-end development principles and best
practices
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with e-commerce development platforms
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Agility and adaptability to an evolving work environment
• Entrepreneurial flare -innovation, creativity
• Self -driven , exhibiting resilience
• Ability to work under pressure
Desired
• A Master’s degree would be an added advantage
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of SEO principles
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
