Statement of problem:

The study proposed is to investigate whether or not the waters of schools within Naga
contain the appropriate pH level to ensure its safety to be consumed. However, certain
environmental conditions may affect the acidity of the water provided. By investigating
the water sources, we would be able to know whether or not the water is being given
proper quality assurance by its overseers, and which ones to address and which ones
are safe to use. Precisely, the study sought to answer the following questions:

1. What is the pH level of tap water in some schools in Naga City?

2. Does the pH level of tap water equate to safe drinking water?
3. Is there a difference in the acidity of water between private and public schools in Naga
City?
