INTRODUCTION

Hello, everyone. Today. We're going to discuss a sensitive topic, which is

the earthquake.
What's an
earthquake?
An earthquake is a sudden and violent
shaking of the ground, often caused by
movements within the Earth's crust or
volcanic activity. It can result in
significant destruction of buildings,
infrastructure, and landscapes, as well as
pose serious risks to human life and
property.
What are its causes?
Earthquakes can have various causes, but the primary factor is the
movement of tectonic plates beneath the Earth's surface. The Earth's crust
is divided into several large and small plates that are constantly in motion.
When these plates grind against each other, pull apart, or collide, they can
generate seismic activity, leading to an earthquake. Other causes can
include volcanic activity, landslides, and human activities such as mining
or reservoir-induced seismicity caused by the filling of large dams.
What effects
does it have?
1. Landslides and Tsunamis
2. Disruption of Services
