Content Warning: self-harm/eating disorders. Nick and Charlie are official, now it’s time to
tell their friends and family. Nick has some struggles at home but manages to overcome
them by the end of the school trip to Paris. Charlie has issues which he keeps to himself but
learns to share with Nick. My favourite character is still Nick and my least favourite character
is David (Harry has some growth in this volume). I recommend this book because it’s
interesting to see an official and more mature side to Nick and Charlie’s relationship, and see
other relationships in the story flesh out. I’m onto volume 4 immediately! “There’s this idea
that if you’re not straight, you HAVE to tell your family and friends immediately, like you
owe it to them. But you don’t. You don’t have to do anything until you’re ready.”

Amazing.

Nick and Charlie go on a school trip to France and this book is about that. It's cute and sweet
and funny. It tackles (a mention, not on paper) self harm issue and it does have a more
ongoing Eating Disorder topic, but it's done very well, sensitively and without blame
(because it's not your fault).

Charlie and Nick explore their relationship (not sex or anything) more and their feelings are
growing by the day.

The other characters in the book are well done too and this book has a way of making me
feel like a teenager again (sadly I never went to France), which is a feat that other books
haven't been able to do.
