Q.1
Communication: -Every living being on the earth is surviving because of many essentials and
one of such essential is communication. Its not that he will die if he not does it, but will only
survive not live. Communication is the process of exchange of thoughts and ideas. Living
beings are part of a society and to live in it with peace, harmony and happiness, they need
to communicate. Communication is derived from a Latin word ‘Communicare’ which means
to share, to propagate, or commune. The reason why Latin words are used because Latin is
a dead language and no further change could be made so, it is widely accepted all over the
world in the same manner as it is. Every specie alive on this earth communicate in their own
way like birds’ chirp, plants like sunflower grow towards the sunlight: this is also a way to
communicate.
Importance of communication
Living organisms have various needs like personal (sharing of thoughts and feelings),
education (imparting of knowledge), profession (related to work and earning), culture and
many such. In order to fulfil all our such needs, we need to communicate with each other.
Exchange of thoughts, ideas and feelings makes our lives easy and world a better place to
live with peace. Communication also leads to harmony, grows brotherhood, and spreads a
massage of togetherness. Communication apart from this is informational, goal oriented
and grievance related.
There are many ways in which communication can be done: -
1)Speech
2)Action
3)Body language
4)Writing
5)Symbols
The communication is well associated with various ways which makes it effective. Key skills
which make a communication effective are –
1)Listening
2)Speaking
3)Reading
4)Writing
Altogether they are known as LSRW skills.
1)LISTENING
Listening is one of the most important aspects of a communication. It is said enormous
times that “to be a good speaker, you ought to be a good listener”. The statement holds
practical importance too. when we listen, we understand the message in the best way
possible. Its an active process and provides us the base for our reply and can also be said
best and effective reply.
There is hearing also but it is slightly passive process. Actually, we don’t concentrate our
mind on the speaker in hearing while it’s the main feature of listening which making it
different from hearing and makes the communication effective.
Ex- while walking on the road, we hear different sounds and barely we can recall any of
them at home but in the class when we are taught a chapter and we are listening it
carefully, it just sticks to our mind and hence, the idea of the teacher is well communicated
and the motive of communication gets completed.
2)Speaking
Speaking is that initiation or reply which either starts a communication or facilitates it. In
order to propagate our ideas and message, convey it to the other person, we need to speak
and it establishes a connection between the speaker and the listener. The directness of
communication leads to the propagation of a clear and non-distorted message which helps
the listener to act or reply accordingly.
Ex- If we have a issue with some behaviour of a colleague in the organisation, we can
directly convey that message to him and it may get resorted easily and the communication
became effective and served the purpose.
3)Reading
In order to comprehend a message reaching the receiver in written form, one needs to have
reading skills. Reading facilitates the understanding of the message in raw form as sent by
the sender. Lack of it may disrupt the message and turn the communication ineffective.
Ex- A person being the translator of Japanese, doesn’t know to read its alphabets. This will
hinder the communication.
4)Writing
Writing is one of the most important aspects of communication in formal environment
because it is such which is good for lengthy messages and works as proof for future
references. The lack of this skill will disturb the whole communication because the person
will not be conveying his part ever and the communication cannot be established.
Lack of LSRW skills in and organisation is like having no protective gear while driving. It may
start but not be completed or the completion may be inadequate to be an effective
communication which will lead to loss of time productivity decline and lost of chaos and
confusion.
Q.2
MODES OF COMMUNICATION
Communication is propagation of messages, thoughts, problems, feeling and ideas. One
need to communicate his part to the other person to survive. In an organisation setup, it
becomes very important that people convey their part to the target person so that the work
could be completed. This communication is essential for the growth and relations of the
individual as well as the organisation.
They are two types of communication.
1)One-way – in which the message is just conveyed from one side and the other side just
accepts it and no any feedback is given.
2)Two-way – This type of communication demands the involvement of both the parties i.e.,
the sender as well as the receiver and feedback is the important component of such a
communication.
Mode of communication means the different ways or forms in which communication can be
done. The right mode may yield the best results while the wrong one may severe the
situation.
There are various modes in which communication is done-
1)Speech- Speech is verbal speaking of words which conveys the message to the receiver. It
is very effective in case of short messages and establishes a good direct relation between
the sender and the receiver. The disadvantages of such mode is – 1) it’s not a effective way
for long and lengthy messages 2) Can’t be hold as a proof
Ex- The speech by political leaders changes the fate of the results.
2)Action- There is a popular quote “Action speaks lauder than words”. Our actions also
propagate message. It can be positive or negative. The advantage of such mode is you can
convey without speaking and negative part is a wrong thing can also be propagated.
Ex – Yawning in the class can make a bad impact.
3)Body language – the way we react during a communication signifies well about our
interest in the communication.
Ex – looking here and there while someone is speaking, shows that the other person is not
interested in the communication.
5)Writing – its one of the most effective ways in which we write our desired message and
send it to the target person. The message sent in this are direct in the same way as the
sender want to communicate.
Ex – Letters
6)Symbols – Symbols are a effective part of our communication and becomes very crucial
while communicating with people with hearing disabilities. Symbols propagate the message
faster and in very less time. The negative aspect is the other one must decode it, otherwise
it will be of no use.
Ex – Thumbs up sign means ok and down means not ok.

Q.4.Fabrication of evidences is a crime in its own but we have witnessed several times when
the lack of document or fabrication has resulted in the acquittal of criminals. The same
happened in the case of Naman who was a neutral person during a dispute and was just
trying to stop Srikanth and Sunil from fight but the police acting negligently arrested him
and kept in jail. The court ordered for forensic check of the blood traces on the body of
Naman and the nails. During that naman was tortured badly in the custody and eventually
died. The matter became clear to the court after the result of forensic reports and the police
was held liable for the false imprisonment of Naman. The nominee/legal representatives of
Naman received a compensation of 2 lakhs but still there must be some stern measures for
such felony.
