Newton Dance Centre – Classes

A Salsa

Have you always wanted to learn salsa but never dared? Now you
have the perfect opportunity with Lucía González – she’s a specialist
in teaching beginners! Classes are at 8 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
In each class we make sure that there is the same number of women
and men.

B Zumba

In our zumba classes you’ll get fit, burn calories and improve your
coordination! And you’ll have fun too because zumba is a lot more
interesting than other kinds of workout! We have zumba classes for
all ages, including zumba for kids and zumba for grandparents! We
even have Aqua Zumba in the pool!

C Tap

In our tap-dancing classes, you’ll learn the basics of tap dancing


from the beginning. At the end of the three-month course, you’ll be
able to do some simple dance routines from famous musicals!
Please note – you need tap shoes to do this course. If you don’t have
them, you can purchase a pair at the school.

D Tango

This 12-week course provides a very intensive introduction to tango.


You’ll be in a class of 6–12 dancers who are also doing tango for the
first time. Twice a month you’ll have a 15-minute private lesson. We
organise trips to tango clubs, too, so you can practise!
