I. OBJECTIVES

Students should be able to:

1. Understand how human brains process information.
2. Determine how noise or interference affects perception.

II. METHODOLOGIES

A. Subject Profile (Discuss: There are two groups of respondents needed; consider
two age brackets; e.g. Kids and Adults)

B. Materials and Equipment (discuss every materials and equipment whether

physical objects or software used)

Software Used:
1. DesignTools Software (Free Download): Stroop Test for
Experimentation (discuss Stroop Test including the four different
exercises to be performed; discussions not limited to these idea)

2. MS Excel and/or MINITAB for Data Analysis

C. Procedure
Each of the following exercises is to be performed for one person in your group.
Record the results of this study graph the outputs and discuss the results.

1. Comfortably sit in front of your device/gadget.

2. Open the DesignTool application, in particular, Stroop Test exercise.
3. Perform all the four (4) sets of exercises; 40 trials each. Make a screenshot of the
results as part of our data reference in the appendix part.
4. Record and summarize the data.
5. Analyze the data and create graphs.
6. Prepare your individual Laboratory Report.

III.RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS:

2. Data Analysis (present here your data analysis made using selected software; you can present the
graphs)

Tip: You can perform two-way ANOVA (of course you can use any other statistical techniques)

Factor 1: Words
 Levels
o Color Words
o Color Nonwords

Factor 2: Interferece
 Levels
o No Interference
o With Interference

Step 1: Ho

Step 2: α = ?, two-tailed, one-tailed
Step 3: CR: Reject H0 if……
Step 4: Computation
Step 5: Decision; Reject or Accept H0????
Step 6: Conclusion
3. Discussion of Results
(Discuss here the findings based on statistical analysis; support your explanations with GRAPHS). You
can also cite facts based from lectures and other references.)
