Research problem: The Impact of Technology Integration on Student’s Academic Performance
Research Background:
With the rapid advancement of technology, educational institutions are increasingly integrating
technology into the learning process. This integration ranges from using digital tools and
applications to online learning platforms and interactive resources. While technology in education
has the potential to enhance teaching and learning experiences, its impact on students' academic
performance remains a subject of debate and research.
Research Question:
To what extent does the integration of technology in the classroom affect students' academic
performance across different subjects and grade levels?
Potential Sub-questions:
1. What are the most common forms of technology integration in educational settings?
2. How does technology integration impact students' motivation and engagement in the learning
process?
3. What are the positive and negative effects of technology integration on students' academic
achievement?
Research Methodology:
To address the research problem and questions, a mixed-methods approach could be used.
Quantitative data could be collected through standardized tests, academic records, and surveys to
measure students' academic performance, engagement, and attitudes towards technology.
Qualitative data could be gathered through interviews or focus groups with teachers, students, and
parents to gain insights into their perceptions and experiences with technology integration.
Additionally, conducting a longitudinal study over an extended period would provide valuable
information on the long-term effects of technology integration on students' academic performance.
Moreover, it may shed light on potential challenges and strategies to optimize technology
integration for better learning outcomes. Ultimately, the research can contribute to improving the
overall quality of education and student achievement in the context of a technology-driven world.
