CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION

General Overview of the Business Plan

"Mukolicious” is a snack and drinks business that was taken from the word delicious
and MuKo which is from the two products, banana muffins and buko. They're both healthy
because both are made of fruits, and at the same time, they're delicious. By choosing this
name, the brand can effectively communicate its primary purpose of offering a range of
convenient delicious muffins and buko juice that people can enjoy together. The banana
muffins are fluffy and smooth; they are made with bananas, egg, and maya flour. The
proponents of this business came up with the idea of turning one of the products into
muffins because it's not too salty and it's not too sweet. This is also good for tanders
because the sweetness is controlled and nutritious. Since cupcakes are what they
typically consume, some people are unable to taste muffins, thus business owners want to
introduce them to muffins with a complementary fruit flavour. The muffins were balanced
by the different flavours of the toppings. The consumer can choose from three topping
options for the muffins: chocolate chips, nuts, and raisins. The packaging have for 4
pieces and 6 pieces to look more presentable for us students, the buko juice is incredibly
reasonably priced and incredibly refreshing., it is ideal for hot weather because it helps us
feel less heat throughout the day.

Mukolicious will also implement a strong marketing strategy to promote the brand and
attract customers. This store will offer a variety of delicious and visually appealing treats,
from delicious muffins to refreshing buko, and will also offer customizable options,
allowing customers to personalize their orders and create their own Mukolicious
experience. Overall, the goal of this business is to create a welcoming and inclusive
environment where visitors can enjoy a true Mukolicious experience. With the strategic
location and marketing efforts, the owners are confident that the physical store in Sta.
Rosa, Laguna will become a must-visit destination for muffin and buko lovers in the area.
Mukolicious will be open from Monday to Saturday, 7:00 in the morning until 10:00 in the
evening depending on the demand that will show during the day. Every Tuesday and
Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Mukolicious will also be offering a 10% discount because
they want to give those who truly have nothing an opportunity to eat those kinds of foods,
or customers who simply want to try the product, since once they do, they may be
persuaded to buy it because it's affordable, delicious, and will not only satisfy your
stomach but also provide you with joy in every sip and bite.

Company Description

Yhinnza Muko is a small company that provides a nutritious snacks and drinks
because customers’ health is the top priority of this company. Yhinnza Muko aims to open
a physical store in Nuvali, Solenad Sta. Rosa, Laguna, it aims to meet the needs of the
locals, tourist, and surrounding areas. Store locations will be strategically selected in high-
traffic areas such as shopping malls like Solenad, to maximize visibility and foot traffic.
This will ensure that the target customers will have easy access to the products and

In five years, Yhinnza Muko aims to establish itself as a well-known brand in different
countries, with Mukolicious having multiple branches worldwide. Through innovation,
dedication, and customer satisfaction, we aim to achieve sustainable growth and success
for our company and global recognition for Yhinnza Muko. At Mukolicious, we believe that
our vision will drive us towards success and help us achieve our goal of becoming a well-
known and beloved brand in the whole world.

Mission
This company's first goal is the health of everyone in the the area, including investors,
staff, and customers. At the Yhinnza Muko company, they pride themselves on providing
innovative and high-quality products that will satisfy the customers' unique preferences.
The customers will not just enjoy their products, but will also surely adore the services as
they serve them with love and sweetness.

Product Features
Mukolicious offers an innovative product in the market and their main product is
Banana Muffins. The business also offers Buko Juice, a drink that can be paired with the
main product. Banana muffins are a delightful treat that combines the sweetness of ripe
bananas with the moistness of a perfect muffin. The appearance of a banana muffin is
inviting, with a golden brown crust on top that gives way to a soft and fluffy interior
speckled with small chunks of banana. The taste is a balance of sweet and savory, with
the banana flavor shining through in every bite. Banana Muffins do not only offer delicious
taste, but they also provide a lot of nutrients or benefits to the customers. Banana Muffins
is healthy because of its main ingredient which is Banana. Bananas are a popular fruit
with many potential health benefits. They may improve your digestion and heart health,
thanks to their fiber and antioxidant content. Plus, they may support weight loss because
they're relatively low in calories, nutrient-dense, and filling.

Comparison to the Competitors

Our products, banana muffins and buko, are different from those of our competitors in
the market. While other stores typically offer muffins such as chocolate, blueberry, cream
cheese, and ube, they often use artificial ingredients. For example, instead of using real
ube, they use ube-flavoured powder. Our muffins, on the other hand, are made with fresh
bananas and topped with chocolate chips, raisins, and nuts, enhancing their flavor. If
you're looking for a refreshing juice, our fresh Buko is the perfect choice. It comes directly
from the tree, setting it apart from competitors who may add ingredients like evaporated
milk. Our banana muffins and buko are 100% healthy and suitable for individuals aged 7
to 50. Additionally, they are budget-friendly, and this is our product, Banana muffins and
Buko. It's healthy for the body, and it will make you "Mukolicious" with its deliciousness.
Sales and Distribution
 The mode of selling that the entrepreneurs use is online and also selling in public,
also known as "Naglalako." The entrepreneurs came up with the idea to sell online
because many people now use social media. Through Facebook, we posted the
product that we sell and also stated the price of it so that customers would
immediately know how much. To make sure to sell online, the entrepreneurs ask
their friends and family to buy the product to show their support. The selling thing in
public is that we're doing that if our product is not net consumed, so it's not a waste
that we go to a subdivision and we're asking if they want to buy our product.

Future Expansion
 After 6 years, the Mukolicious business plans to construct its own branches and
institutions around Laguna, with a focus on schools and universities. This company
aims to grow not only in the Philippines but globally as well. They will be recognized
for their refreshing and beneficial products as well as their ability to compete with
rivals.

CHAPTER 4
INDUSTRY ANALYSIS

Current Competition

 The direct competitors of the company will be Muffins of Lartizan, Dunkin’, and Buko
Juice of Buko Juan, Buko ni Fruitas, which sells Muffins and Buko Juice at a higher
price than Mukolicious. Wake & Bake Muffins is also one of the direct competitors
that sells muffins. The entrepreneurs researched the background of Wake & Bake
Muffins; they have 17 different flavors. Their product is so similar to Mukolicious in
appearance. The direct competitors of the company will be Kenny Rogers Roasters
and S&R. They have a side dish of muffins, but they have a different main dish.
These food is also higher price than the other competitors.

times when they will find it really difficult to handle things. Despite the obstacles that
they face along the way, if they're committed in starting a business, they'll do
everything in their power to solve the problem, because if not, it may get worst in the
future.

- Financial Risk. Financial deficiencies in a business are unavoidable since the day
will come when the products will not generate much revenue and the company will lose
their money. There is a possibility of losing money on an investment or business venture.
However, Mukolicious will do everything in their power to increase their sales and gain
more funds.

- Competitors. Since so many individuals currently create enterprises in order to gain


money, competitors in the business world are inevitable, and one of the risks that
entrepreneur may encounter is the presence of direct or indirect rivals.

- Uncertain Sales. The business anticipates that their goods won't take off right
away; they don't know if they'll have strong sales in the upcoming days, weeks, and
months. They also believe that they won't always have a large customer base;
occasionally, they'll sometimes experience a days or weeks of low revenue. Nevertheless,
this company will use any marketing strategies to ensure that their sales will increase and
will build a name in the market.

STRENGTHS
- Affordable: We all know that the budget of a student is a small value only. An
affordable price for students is one of the strengths of the business.
- Healthy: It's more healthy than the other muffins because of the banana flavor on
them. You can taste the banana, but not that much. The muffins have a banana
flavor, but at the same time, they have a different kind of topping. Sweetness can
be balanced depending on the customer's wants.
- Safe: The packaging of the buko juice in the cup with a flat lid is very important for
the drinks because it will not spill easily on the customer.

- Seasonal demand: Sales consistency throughout the year may be impacted by
seasonal variations in the demand for banana muffins.

the summer. Buko juice is sold by numerous large, well-known brands, including Buko

- Not well known in the market: Since their company is still in the beginning stage, they

success, as well as the risk and increasing competition. In this business industry, there

generation, many teenagers love sweet food, the muffins have a banana flavour; that’s
why it’s also good for adults to try this. Mukolicious is seen as a variable solution when

that have no artificial additives and that simultaneously contain lots of beneficial nutrients,

month and has a an objectives to reach 300 new followers every week and 400 shares in
every post they uploaded. Mukolicious will also use flyers so that the customers will know
some information about their business.

and banana muffins that are sure to tantalize taste buds and leave customers craving for
more.They will ensure that consumers are informed about the origins of their

• Mukolicious' products are both made of healthy fruits, which are bananas and fresh
harvest buko. Adding toppings such as chocolate chips, raisins, and nuts will surely be
popular with people today. It will not just add a delicious taste to the muffins, but each of
them will have benefits for the customers. Another healthy drink that can pair with muffins
is cold and fresh buko juice. It will satisfy your thirst in today's hot season, not just for your
tummy but also for your health. These combos are perfect, especially for customers who
want to stay fit and healthy.

Price
• According to their product, the lowest price that they have is ₱15 per piece; the
other muffins are ₱75 which have have 4 pieces with a box; and lastly, the highest price is
₱90; they have 6 pieces and also have a box. While the price of buko juice is ₱15 for
small size, ₱30 for medium, and ₱60 for large size, which is likewise reasonably priced.
As a result, you won't ever experience thirst.

• The proponents of this business, offers a refreshing and aromatic banana muffins
and buko, we will strategically position our business in high-traffic locations such as busy

employees. The owners also want to sell the muffins and buko through social media

• There are four and six pieces in a brown box together with muffin liners. Mukolicious
wants to ensure that the product has not come into contact with any insects or become
polluted. The box also features a clear cover that reveals the attractiveness of the muffins
within. To help children remember the brand emblem, it is placed in the centre of a box
with a sticker. Buko juice is supplied in clear cups with a flat top to ensure bacterial
prevention, compared to other buko juice, which is not as well packed and is sold on the
side of the road. Even though it is inexpensive, they find attractive, high-quality packaging
at a reduced cost.
Positioning

• Mukolicious attracts customers with its sweet aroma, soft bread, and different kinds
of toppings. The owner of this business used these strategies to get the attention of their
customers. Additionally, the customers will get a lot of benefits from these buko and
muffins. It's not just a kind of snack or drink; it has a lot of nutrients since it is made of
fresh buko and banana. The chocolate chip toppings on the muffins will surely attract the
teenagers, since most of them like sweets. Mukolicious also has nut toppings; banana nut

Promotional Strategies
We want to use social media marketing to advertise our items. This tactic will
increase the visibility of our items and encourage more individuals to purchase them.
Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are just a few of the platforms we can use to interact
with our target market. On our Facebook page, we posted the products and the prize with
a very nice design and nice picture to attract more people on social media. Additionally,
we communicate with the public when presenting the products, allowing them to view it
and decide whether or not to purchase it.

Advertising Strategies

The proponents of this company will spread flyers and utilized social media like
Intagram, Tiktok, specifically by creating Facebook page in order to advertise their
business and their products. In that way their target market Asia Technological School of
Arts and target audience ages of 7 to 50 y/o are aware of their company and products.
Mukolicious will also work with influencer or artists to promote or advertise their product in
different platforms.
Pricing Strategies

Prices are set based on what the owners plan for their pricing. The pricing strategy
that they use is cost-based pricing. The owners added everything they spent to find the
best price for their product and to make it more affordable because most of the customers
are students. This can be a particularly attractive strategy for businesses that offer it,
especially if your target market is mostly students.

Positioning Strategies

Mukolicious will market itself as a competitively priced offering innovative, practical


services and products. Mukolicious will be known for providing premium products at
affordable costs and with amiable customer service. Banana muffins could include
highlighting their freshness, natural ingredients, health benefits such as being a good
source of potassium and fiber, convenience as a snack or breakfast option, and versatility
as a treat for various occasions. Additionally, emphasizing unique selling points like
homemade taste, organic ingredients, or special flavors can help differentiate your

This company has its own location which is located in the high traffic areas like
solenad where the products is produced and displayed for customers to see which
products they prefer or want to purchase. The Mukolicious distribution strategy was direct
to know the customer's benefit and service. By using this strategy we entrepreneurs can
effectively engage customers to buy our products and to know our customers feedback so
that we can more improve our products. The proponents of this company came with the
conclusion that Asia Technological School of Arts and High traffic areas like shopping
malls was the best place to sell products.

Retention Strategies

The upholder will give away free gifts with every purchase customers make, it may be
school/office supplies, kitchains, and toys for kids. So for every muffin or buko Juice that
the customers will buy, they will give them some things that can help them, or can be
useful in the office, school, and in their house, the owners can also give some toys for kids
so they can play with them everywhere they want. They can get these items just by buying
the product, MuKo. Additionally, putting board and card games in the establishment to
keep clients entertained while they wait for their orders is one of the plan. This will make
them more likely to make a purchase from us. Using these strategies , Mukolicious will
ensure the continuous increase of their sales or cash flow during low demand.
