Admission on Vacant MBBS/BDS Seats in Private Sector
Medical/Dental Colleges in Punjab
Pursuant to the decision of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC), notified on
March 22, 2024, allowing extension in admissions deadline on vacant MBBS/BDS seats in
Medical/Dental Colleges till March 31, 2024, University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, as
the Admitting University for both public and private sector medical and dental colleges in
Punjab, seeks consent of the eligible candidates interested in admission to the remaining
vacant seats in the following private sector medical and dental colleges under Punjab
Government’s Vacant Seat Policy:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1. Candidates who applied through University of Health Sciences' online application portal for
admissions to private sector Medical & Dental Colleges within the specified deadline under the
centralized admission policy, got selected on merit-cum-preference basis in any of the merit lists
displayed but failed to submit fees by the due date, shall be eligible to apply for admission against
available vacant seats.
2. No candidate who is already admitted to any public or private sector Medical/Dental College shall
be eligible to apply for admission to vacant seats.
3. Candidates on the BDS waiting list can provide consent for admissions to vacant seats in the
private sector dental college with the lowest cut off merit, as indicated in the table above.
4. Admissions shall be granted based on candidate’s merit, college preferences and available vacant
seats. Candidates shall be admitted to vacant seats in private sector Medical & Dental Colleges
with corresponding closing merits of regular selection lists (except for the dental college with the
lowest cut off merit i.e., Shahida Islam Dental College, Lodhran, for which the candidates on the
waiting list of BDS can provide their consent).
5. Admissions on vacant seats shall, in no way, affect the candidates who are already admitted.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
1. Candidates shall provide their consent for admission to vacant seats at the following link:
http://forms.uhs.edu.pk/privatevacantseatsapplication. No fresh application fee will be
required.
2. The portal shall be activated solely for accepting consent for admissions to vacant seats from
existing applicants for private sector Medical & Dental Colleges and is not open for new applicants.
3. Candidates shall give a fresh Order of Preference for the above referred colleges with available
vacancies. The number and Order of Preference shall be final and cannot be changed after last
date of submission.
4. Following the display of merit list, the candidates shall be required to appear before an Admission
Committee. The procedure of college allocation shall be as follows:
i. Candidates will appear before the Admission Committee (on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 9:00
AM sharp) in the order of their merit number.
ii. It is mandatory for these candidates to bring with them a bank draft/pay order of Rs.100,000 in
the name of "University of Health Sciences Lahore" (FTN 9021299-5) as admission token fee.
iii. Each candidate will be shown on the screen the names of all the colleges according to his/her
Preference List where there are vacant seats according to his/her merit. The candidate will be
asked to select one of his/her Preferred Colleges according to the merit.
iv. Once the college is selected, the candidate has to sign the admission form by writing the name
of the concerned college. After signing the admission form, the candidate shall not be given the
right to change the choice.
v. After the selection of the college, the candidate will be given three working days’ time to submit
his fee to the respective college. The admission token fee of one lakh rupees will be adjusted in
the candidate's college fee. If the fee is not deposited within the prescribed period, the
admission will be canceled and the admission token fee will be confiscated.
vi. It must be noted that for college selection, the candidate must appear before the admission
committee in person. Candidates who fail to appear before the Admission Committee on the
scheduled date and time will not be given another chance.

IMPORTANT:
Candidates must note that it is a one-time opportunity. Failure to deposit fee and mark joining at
the respective college by the deadline after seat allocation will result in the cancellation of
admission and forfeiture of the admission token fee of Rs. 100,000/-.
