instances of the new lesson “Personal Pronouns”

Personal pronouns – are the words


that take the place of a noun that Pupils will listen attentively
names people or sometimes things.
 We use personal pronoun to
avoid unnecessary repetition of
those nouns.

Personal pronouns can be singular or


plural.

 I – refers to the person speaking.


Example: I live in Sipocot.

 He – refers to a male person


spoken about.
Example: John is a pupil. He is
in Grade 2

 She – refers to a female person


spoken about.
Example: Hina is pretty. She is
my friend.

 You – refers to the person or


persons spoken to.
Example: You are very nice

 It – refers to an animal or thing.


Example: It is a cute puppy.

 We – refers to two or more


persons including the speaker.
Example: We are a happy family

 They – refers to two or more


persons, places, or things
spoken about.
Example: Vin and Jude are
friends. They are my
classmates.
