Notes:
Uses of convex mirrors:
1. Convex mirrors are widely used as rearview mirrors in automobiles. Their curved shape
provides a wider field of view, allowing drivers to see more of the area behind their
vehicle and reducing blind spots.
2. Convex mirrors are installed at intersections, driveways, and sharp curves to improve
safety by providing better visibility for drivers. They help drivers see around corners and
obstacles, reducing the risk of accidents.
3. Convex mirrors are used in security and surveillance systems to monitor areas that are
difficult to see directly. They are often installed in stores, parking lots, and other public
places to provide a wider field of view for security personnel or surveillance cameras.

(a) Both assertion (A) and reason (R) are true and reason (R) is the correct explanation of
assertion (A).

assertion (A).
(c) Assertion (A) is true but reason (R) is false.
(d) Assertion (A) is false and reason (R) is true.
Q.19 Assertion (A): Plane mirror may form real image.
Reason (R): Plane mirror forms virtual image, if object is real.
