Our client is an international manufacturer of rubber gloves in Malaysia.

For their expanding >RM 3 billion operations in Malaysia we are looking to recruit a:

SENIOR MANAGER
Environmental Engineering
Responsibilities:

• Manage and control all emissions, including Chlorine, Carbon, Sulphur, Green House
Gas according to DOE standards across all three sites.
• Design and oversee the operation of Raw Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
• Contribute expertise to territory planning and strategy development.
• Prepare centralized Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reports monthly for all three sites.
• Manage the Recycle plants and ensure that the discharge quality meets stakeholder
requirements. Optimize processes for cost effectiveness.
• Work closely with the Production Team to identify and prioritize opportunities for
improvement, enhance team capacity, and drive performance.
• Oversee waste control, storage, and disposal procedures in all three sites to ensure
compliance with regulations and minimize environmental impact.
• Drive projects related to Net Zero initiatives, focusing on reducing CO2 emissions,
energy consumption, and water usage as per management requirements.
• Work closely with the Production Team to identify and prioritize opportunities for
improvement.
• Lead the team in developing technical account strategies aligned with business
requirements and goals. Assign resources accordingly.
• Coordinate with the parent company on Environmental, Social, and Governance
(EGS) and GHG programs and systems.
• Manage regulatory compliance (DOSH & DOE) and drive EHS and GHG
improvement projects. Coordinate with parent company on EGS & GHG programs.
• Provide support to the Plant EHS Team in various activities and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering

with PE (Professional Engineer) status.
• Minimum 10 years of Site Engineering experience in a complex manufacturing
environment. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Engineering teams.
• Advanced understanding of environmental control processes, including water
treatment, GHG emission control, waste management, and carbon footprint reduction.
• Strong experience in designing and managing complex wastewater treatment facilities.
• Thorough knowledge of international and local Malaysian environmental standards
and practices.
• Ability to handle Government Authorities and audits with strong leadership skills.
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in Excel and
Word.
