NARRATIVE REPORT
Clean-up Drive Activity
(September 29, 2022)

“A simple act of caring the environment creates an endless ripple.”


The purpose of the clean - up is to engage people around the world to
remove trash and debris from rivers, waterways, identify the source of the
litter and make possible solution to the problem. With the cooperation of
teachers, SK officials and students (SSLG OFFICERS, BKD OFFICERS, and
YES-O OFFICERS) in preparing the school facilities and ensuring a
conducive learning environment for the upcoming school year.

In view of the pressing global concerns, issues in the environment and


the Climate Change problem in our country, the Department of Education
(DepEd) RO7 invites the school to conduct coastal, rivers, waterways clean-
up. This advocacy activity aims to help clean, promote, care for the
environment, and empower people to take an active role in the preservation
and conservation of the biodiversity.

With this, the Guinpana-an National High School-Odiong Ext,


teachers together with the students participated the said conduct of the
clean- up drive activity last September 29, 2023. The Clean - up Drive
Coordinator Ms. Marfe Jan A. Montelibano together with the Junior and
Senior High School teachers made an action in helping the environment and
contributed to the prevention of global warming and garbage scattering. The
program was conducted at the school near the riverbanks and roads. It was
formally started at around 7:30 o’clock in the morning and ends at 8:30.

Furthermore, this activity united the school and community to


preserve and take good care of the environment. Environment conservation
is important that everyone ought to embrace. Though, we cannot assume.
all group of individuals to take part in these measures. However, those small
group of people who participated and initiated the activity, will always show
the spirit of unity, and makes the beginning of change.
The clean-up drive was more than just a chore; it was a testament to
the power of community engagement and environmental consciousness. The
bonds forged and the memories created will linger long after the last trash

bag is tied up and disposed of. As the sun set on the park, it shone upon a
cleaner, brighter future, made possible by the dedication of those who
believe in making a difference, one clean-up drive at a time.
