Thank you Salah. It is now my turn to tell you about the causes and effects of climate
change in different situations happening in the world.

First let’s talk about glacier melting. Its primary cause is rising temperatures due to climate
change. Other factors that contribute to glacier melting include decreased snowfall and
increased precipitation in the form of rain, as well as the melting of permafrost. The effects of
glacier melting include the rise in sea levels, impact on freshwater resources, negative
impacts on agriculture, and impact on tourism.

Now, let’s address deforestation in the Amazon rainforest. It is mainly caused by agricultural
expansion, logging, mining, and infrastructure development. The effects of deforestation
include habitat destruction, loss of biodiversity, soil degradation, and climate change.
Deforestation also affects local communities, including indigenous peoples, who rely on the
forest for their livelihoods.

As for wildfires in California, they are caused by a combination of natural factors like
lightning and human activities like power lines and campfires. They can result in loss of life,
property damage, and environmental degradation. Smoke from wildfires can also have
negative impacts on air quality and public health. Wildfires can cause long-term ecological
damage such as soil erosion and habitat destruction. Climate change is also contributing to
the increasing frequency and intensity of wildfires in California.

Finally, high temperatures in Morocco are primarily caused by the country's geographic
location and the presence of the Sahara Desert, which leads to hot and dry conditions.
Climate change is also contributing to the increasing frequency and intensity of heat waves
in the region. The effects of high temperatures can be severe and include heat stroke,
dehydration, and even death, particularly in vulnerable populations such as the elderly and
children. High temperatures can also cause negative impacts on agriculture and water
resources, leading to drought and food insecurity.
