INTRODUCTION

Engro Foods Limited (EFL) is fully owned subsidiary


of Engro Corporation. Engro Corporation was found
in 1957 under the name of Esso Corporation
Limited. In 1978 it was renamed as Exxon
Corporation limited and then in 1991 it was given
the name of Engro Corporation Limited. And till now
it has grown to become one of thte largest
industrial corporation of Pakistan.
The company has a well-distributed portfolio. It is
currently running 6 different business Engro
fertilizers, Chemical storage and handling, Trading,
Energy, and Petrochemicals. Engro Foods started its
work in 2005 and developed it to get huge market
share in just few years. Engro brands are considered
to be the high quality brands
and charge reasonable prices from customers.
FL's growing market share covers more than 8
egions and 302+ cities in Pakistan as well as cover
8 states in USA and 4 provinces in
anada, where our halal food range continues to
ttract a wide cross-section of Muslims and other
ustomers.

 According to Engro website, 5 million people in


the nation use its Products daily and it has more
than 1500 employees, It’s famous subsidiary
Company Engro Foods Brings in the most of the
revenue and it,s most successful products are
Olper’s milk, Tarang and now a Days Omore ice
cream. Olper’s milk is successful because of its
nature that it Is for all purposes and also for its
attractive and family oriented TVCs while Tarang
is successful for its low price and Omore for its
taste and quality. These products are loved
nationwide.

Milk, Omore Icecream, Olfruite etc. Second main
objective of Engro is to increase the profit share of
shareholders and get hold on a large market share so
they can control the market. ENGRO wants to be a
majour player in the market which is also there
vision.

 Political Factors:
Acting Govt And there policies
these days has effected the company profits and
also had an negative impact on the companies
competitive prices. Increment in fuel prices also
cause a massive set back in the companies
production and distribution at a large scale.
Company is hopeful that new Govt may provide a
relief.
 Economic Factors:

Inflation rate of Pakistan for the


current year has grown to 7 percent. This thing is
really hurting the purchasing power of Pakistani
consumers. PLM which is already considered as more
costly compared to open milk is becoming out of
reach of mostly public. As a result, there is an
increased pressure on company to either decrease
their prices or at least keep prices stable. Moreover,
packaged milk industry which each year pays millions
of taxes from the side of Engro is not being given any
relief in terms of taxes by the government.
Competition is also increasing with the entrance of
new domestic players in the dairy and food sector
and plans to increase investments by the already
established companies. Acting Government is failing
to keep dollar stable which is hurting the company
hence hurting the consumer of the company. Supply
chain has been disturbed due to high fuel prices.
 SOCIAL FACTOR:

This Years social factors were


favorable for the company, the increase in population
was 2.3% in Pakistan and out of which 0.23%
(According to companies report) choose engro
products and services on daily basis turning over
good revenue. How ever Social media influence was
low , company plans to focus on social media
promotions and ads to turn in more customers
bringing in more revenue and popularity among the
nation.

Technological Factor:

Engro was successful in


2023 to adapt to new innovations and new
machinery. Automated tech was a big success in
Engros chemical sector which was not performing
well in past few years due to Pakistan’s bad policies.
Engro shifted it.s focus towards automation to reduce
employees to save most of the money which was
spent on something which was not turning in enough
revenue.

 Legal Factors:
Engro foods always stand by the
rules and legal conditions imposed by the
Government and set their strategies that are
according to the employment laws and
legislations of the Government they are working
under. Engro food always keeps its department
updated about what is happening in the sector of
food ,chemical and fertilizer industry and that will
help them to make their strategies accordingly.
Engro have the legal laws like, Minimum wage,
working time, Food stuffs, Engro foods don't
believe in Under 18 working, Occupational/
industrial Training, Environmental regulations
Consumer protection Industry-specific regulations
etc.
 Enviornmental Factors:

As, the environment


always effect the way strategies are being carried out
and implemented. Engro like all the organizations
they also have to face such kind of environment
which is very dynamic. Being in the market as a
challenger they have to face all the external factors
and have to cope up with them accordingly. Engro
have the strategies to positively engage the staff in
work and boost up their moral. Engro has a friendly
environmental culture within the organization to
make their employees comfortable and to deal with
the external problems.
