Meaning:
We meditate on that most adored Supreme Lord, the creator, whose
effulgence (divine light) illumines all realms (physical, mental and
spiritual). May this divine light illumine our intellect.
Om: Sound as the basis of Creation ; Bhur: the earth, the gross
Bhuvah: the atmosphere the Ether, subtle, Suvah: heaven, the region
byond Bhuvah the casual, Tat: That (God); Savitur: the Sun, Creator
(source of all life); Vareñyam: adore; Bhargo: radiance (divine
light); Devasya: supreme Lord; Dhīmahi: meditate; Dhiyo: the
intellect; Yo: May this light; Nah: our; Prachodayāt: illumine/inspire
ॐकारं व ंदभसंयभक्तं वनत्यं ध्यायंवत योवर्गनः ।
कामदं मोक्षदं चैव ॐकाराय नमो नमः ॥१॥
Omkaaram Bindu-Samyuktam Nityam Dhyaayanti Yoginah |
Kaamadam Mokshadam Chaiva Omkaaraaya Namo Namah |
Meaning:
Who resides In the Spiritual Heart Center as Omkara, On Whom
the Yogis Constantly Meditate,Who Grants All Desires and
also Liberation to His Devotees.Salutations to that Shiva, Who is
represented by syllable "Om", the first syllable of the Sadakshara
mantra "Om-Na-Ma-Shi-Va-Ya".
Omkaaram- symbol of parabrahman,Bindu- the spiritual heart
centreSamyuktam - jointly, together(with Crescent and Dot)Nityam-
always present (eternal)
Dhyaayanti – medidating, Yoginaha - the yogis
Kaamadam - granting desires, Mokshadam – granting liberation
Chaiva - And indeed, Omkaaraaya - to that Aum, Namo -
salutations
Namah – bow, obeisance
वक्रतभण्ड मिाकाय सूयुकोवि समप्रभ ।
वनववुघ्नं कभरु मे दे व सवुकाये षभ सवुदा ॥

Meaning:
I meditate on Sri Ganesha, Who has a Curved Trunk, Large Body, and
Who has the Brilliance of a Million Suns, O Lord, Please make
all my Works Free of Obstacles, always.
र्गभरुर्ब्ुह्मार्गभरुववुष्णभर्गभुरुदे वोमिेश्वरः
Meaning:
Guru is the Creator (Brahma), Guru is the Preserver(Vishnu), GuruDeva
is Destroyer(Maheshwara), Guru is the absolute (singular) Lord himself,
Salutations to that Sri Guru
Meaning:
1: (Oh Mother Earth) O Devi, You Who have the Ocean as Your
Garments, and Mountains as Your Bosom,
2: O Consort of Lord Vishnu, Salutations to You; Please Forgive my
Touch of the Feet (on Earth, which is Your Holy Body).
नमस्ते ऽस्तभ मिामाये श्रीपीठे सभरपूविते।
र्ङ् खचक्रर्गदािस्तेमिालक्ष्मनमोऽस्तभते॥१॥
Meaning:
I bow down(Salute) Devi Mahalakshmi, Who is ther remover of delusion
And Who is Worshipped in Sri Pita(seated upon) by the Devas.
Who is adorned in Her Beautiful Form with Shankha (Conch), Chakra
(Disc) and Gada (Mace) in Her Hands; I bow down Devi Mahalakshmi.

MEANING:
(Salutations to Devi Saraswati) Who is Pure White like Jasmine, with the
Coolness of Moon, Brightness of Snow and Shine like the Garland of
Pearls; and Who is Covered with Pure White Garments, Whose Hands
are Adorned with Veena (a stringed musical instrument) and the Boon-
Giving ; And Who is Seated on Pure White Lotus,Who is Always Adored
by Lord Brahma, Lord Achuta (Lord Vishnu), Lord Shankara and Other
Devas,O Goddess Saraswati, Please Protect me and Remove my
Ignorance completely.
Yaa- The one Who, kundh- Jasmine flower, Indu – Moon, Tushaara-
snow, Haara- A garland of Pearls, Dhavalaa- Dazzaling white, shubra-
shining,Vastra- clothes, aavrta – covered, veena- a stringed musical
instrument, vara-boon, Danda – neck of veena, Manditha – adorned,
Kara- the hand, a doer, shveta- white, Padma - lotus, aasana – sitting,
Brahma- Sri Brahma, achyuta – Lord Vishnu, shankara- another name
of shiva which means causing prosperity, prabhrtibhir– including the
entire pantheon , Devai- god, sada- always, poojitha-worshipped, saa-
she, maam- me, PaaThu – please protect, saraswathi – Devi
Saraswathi, bhagavathi – Goddess , Nishesha – without leaving a trace,
Jaadya – dullness of mind aapahaa- removing, destroying
कैलासराणावर्वचंद्रमौळी |
फणी ंद्रमार्ामभकभिीझळाळी ||
कारुण्यवसंधूभवदभ :खिारी |
तभिवीणर्ंभोमिकोणतारी || १||
Meaning:
Oh, Lord Shiva, who is seated on Mount Kailas, whose forhead is
decorated with the moon and the king of serpents wears river Ganga as
a crown, who is the Ocean of Mercy and the remover of delusion, You
alone can protect me.
Kailasa -Mount Kailash, rana-King, shiva – Lord Shiva, Chandra mouli –
crescent on his matted hair, phanee- serpent, indra-the chief, mathaa –
head,forehead, mukutee jaalali- river Ganga as crown, karunya
sindhu– ocean of Mercy, bhava-worldly, dukka haari – who remove
sorrow,Thujaveena – you alone can (protect], shambho- other name of
Shiva, maja-to me, kona- who else, thaari – Protector

वनदु लनं

MEANING:
Once Lord Rama went to forest, He chased the deer, Seetha was kidnapped, Jatayu was killed,
There were talks with Sugreeva, Bali was killed, The sea was crossed, Lanka was burnt, And later
Ravana and Kumbha Karna were also killed. This in short is the story of Ramayanam.

Meaning:
Who is Swift as the Mind and Fast as the Wind, Who is the Master of the Senses, and Honoured
for His Excellent Intelligence, Learning and Wisdom, Who is Son of the Wind God and Chief
among the Vanaras (Who were part of the Devas incarnated in the species of the monkeys to
serve Sri Rama during His Incarnation),To that Messenger of Sri Rama, I take Refuge (by
prostrating before him).
MEANING:
This prayer is to Lord Vishnu who has incarnated whenever His devotees needed protection
from unrighteousness. O Lord! incarnated as a fish to protect and save the Vedas
(Matsyaavatar). Then as mighty tortoise, lifted the sinking earth on thy shoulders
(Kurmaavatar), appeared as a mighty boar and protected the world by supporting it upon your
tusks (Varahavatar), Incarnating as Narasimha, you killed the mighty demon Hiranyakashipu
(Narasimhaavatar). Then as a dwarf you have pushed Bali into Pataal (Vaamanaavatar). Born as
Parashurama, you destroyed the ego of the kshatriyas (Parashuraamavathar). Then in the form
of Lord Rama, you destroyed Ravana (Paulastya) (Ramaavatar). As Krishna, you held plough
against the wicked ones (Krishnavatar). Like the Ocean of Mercy, you appeared as Lord Buddha
(Buddhaavathar). As Kalki (Sai) you destroy the wicked ones. Oh Lord, I surrender to your Lotus
Feet (Sai avatar)

Om Shaanthi Shaanthi Shaanthi:
Meaning:
Om, May God Protect us Both (the Teacher and the Student) (during the journey of awakening
our Knowledge),
May God Nourish us Both (with that spring of Knowledge which nourishes life when awakened),
May we Work Together with Energy and Vigour (cleansing ourselves with that flow of energy
for the Knowledge to manifest),
May our Study be Enlightening (taking us towards the true Essence underlying everything), and
not giving rise to Hostility (by constricting the understanding of the Essence in a particular
manifestation only),
Om, Peace, Peace, Peace (be there in the three levels - Adhidaivika, Adhibhautika and
Adhyatmika).

bunakThu- may nourish, veeryam- power, strength, Karavavahai- may we work together,
tejasvi –enlightning, navadhithamastu – may our study be, maa- not, vishaavahai - give rise to

करचरणकृतंवाक्कायिंकमुिंवा।
श्रवणनयनिंवामानसंवापराधं।
वववितमवववितंवासवुमेतत्क्षमस्व।
ियियकरुणाब्धेश्रीमिादे वर्म्भो॥
Meaning:
Whatever Sins have been Committed by Actions Performed by my Hands and Feet, Produced by
my Speech and Body, Or my Works,
Produced by my Ears and Eyes, Or Sins Committed by my Mind (i.e. Thoughts), While
Performing Actions which are Prescribed (i.e. duties prescribed by tradition or allotted duties in
one's station of life), As Well as All other Actions which are Not explicitly Prescribed (i.e. actions
done by self-judgement, by mere habit, without much thinking, unknowingly etc); Please
Forgive Them All, Victory, Victory to You, O Sri Mahadeva Shambho, I Surrender to You, You are
an Ocean of Compassion.

the mind, aparadham- sins, vihitham-prescribed, avihitham – not explicitly prescribed,
Sarvame thath kshamsva- forgive all these (sins), jaya – victory, karunaabdhe-ocean of
compassion, Sri Mahadeva shambho- Mahadeva, Shambho are other names of Shiva
