Title/Headline (CAPITAL LETTERS AND UNDERLINE)

Lead paragraph
Dateline (City, Month, Date) – Answer questions on WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN (who – organization,
individual, What- was the event, Where and when (or duration of) event was held

(*date should either be on the event day or a day after, location of the event should be the same as city in
the dateline)

Body/Subsequent paragraphs

Subsequent paragraphs – Elaborate on WHY, HOW & include DIRECT QUOTATIONS


(Why – objective of launching or event or reason for product or service, How – description of the proceedings;
mostly dependent on the scenario or type of event)

(Include direct quotes from experts / relevant publics - journalists prefer direct quotes; you should include
name and title of your source before or after quote)

First line (begins with 1st paragraph) new paragraph should be indented except for lead paragraph*
