BRANCH’S INFORMATION
With the opening of the first branch at Puchong, Selangor, we have gained many
customers from around us because of the strategic geographic location with higher population
density. We gain many demands from the product that we sell. After a long journey in the middle
of Puchong city, we have gained sufficient experience, money, and confidence to expand our
company by opening another branch. We continue our journey in Georgetown, Pulau Pinang to
be chosen as our second place to expand our name to the people that want to reach us. Lastly,
we have many people come to reach us to work with us so that they can learn a new thing and
increase their experience in business. We have decided to open another branch to reach more
customers and expand our family by opening a new branch in Kuantan, Pahang.
In addition, we intend to open a new branch at Kota Bharu, Kelantan since we received a
lot of response from customers about our product. A branch office in Kelantan is a useful way for
our company to satisfy customer needs for face-to-face interaction. In densely populated urban
centers, it is uncommon to see several branches within proximity to one another. That is why we
open one branch in one state. In rural areas at Muar, Johor we open one branch to make it easy
for our customers to buy our product in deep areas. Our customers in the south of Malaysia are
extremely excited because they can buy our product easily.
As for the branch at Muar, Johor sales are a little lower than the first branch at Puchong,
Selangor maybe because the customers are a little hard to reach as in rural areas. And as for
Puchong, the Selangor branch may be gaining the highest sales because of the luck of being in
the middle of a busy city with many people around us. Table 2 shows Glam Body Beauty branch

PRODUCT INFORMATION
GLAM BODY BEAUTY has existed for five years. On May 5, 2016, the company began
body care products. Since then, our company has expanded the collection to include lotion, hand
sanitizer, and body mist, becoming one of the most renowned and coveted body care brands in
2021. Our products suit all ages and skin types. Our vegan products are suitable for all ages and
skin types.
The first product is scrubs, which come with three codes: Stunnin Strawberry, Bubbly
Peach, and Dewy Melon. These scrubs are made with fresh fruit, which are then combined with
Himalayan salt, organicoils, and other natural ingredients to create a gentle, yet effective
exfoliating scrub. The result is clean and soft skin, without the harshness of traditional scrubs.
Each scent is designed to provide the skin with a fresh, energizing experience, and customers
have been raving about the feel and smell of each product. The scrubs are easy to use and feel
great on the skin, and they have proved a big hit with consumers. The price of the body scrubs is
RM50.
Body wash is the next item on the list. After a shower, the customer will appreciate how
the body wash makes them feel renewed and rejuvenated. Sugar, water, coconut oil, and aloe
vera are the primary ingredients in the body wash, which soothes the skin and prevents dryness.
Additionally, it has an intoxicating aroma that soothes and nourishes the skin at once. Preventing
the spread of disease is another benefit of using body wash. Like the body scrub, the body wash
is available in three scents: Stunning Strawberry, Bubbly Peach, and Dewy Melon. This body
wash can be purchased for a total of RM38.
Next is lotion. It can be applied to the hands or the body, as desired. Coconut oil and other

This scent evokes memories of a bygone era with its ethereal scent. Customers who are looking

for a more refined and sophisticated scent are urged to give this one a try. It's a definite must-try.
The last code, called "innoscent," is the perfect scent. This one is the gentlest, cleanest, and
purest. It has a calming effect, almost like taking a breath of fresh air. It has a calming effect on
customers, and they can't get enough of it. Customers love this code, and it's frequently
recommended. At RM 60 per unit, it's good value for money.
Hand sanitizer is the next thing on our list. The mini size of this hand sanitizer makes it
portable for customers on the go. This sanitizer is alcohol-free, which is great for those who are

SALESMAN INFORMATION
During our first business there was a small trading firm that hired ten employees. There
are three sales representatives, two to stock the shelves, three checkout clerks and two to develop
and maintain the electronic storefront. After three years of operation, the business became
extraordinarily successful, with five branches and a popular website. There are five branches
located at Puchong, Kuantan, Georgetown, Kota Bharu and Muar.
In Puchong we have three salesmen that manage our business namely Asyifaq Ayumi
binti Fahrin, Hawa binti Shamsudin and Arjun a/l Kumar. They are the pioneer to our company
succession because Shah Alam is the first store in our business. In branches at Kuantan, we also
have three salesmen namely Azwan Tan bin Abdullah, Melissa Sakura binti Khairul and Atikah
Syazana binti Zamri. The three salesmen will manage our sales in Kuantan, Pahang. In branches
at Georgetown, we have three salesmen namely Nurul Syazwani Binti Sani, Alia Ashikin Binti
Zamarul and Cempaka Dewi a/p Anip who will manage our sales. In branches Kota Bharu we
also have three salesmen namely Muhammad Azfar bin Herisham, Nur Sharieena binti Hisham
and Farra Dayana binti Mokhtar. In our branches at Muar, we have Siti Aisha Binti Kamarul, Wee
Lin Chu and Nur Ameena Binti Arham who have managed the sales.
Furthermore, we have hired at least one who has experience to handle each branch to
make the business go well and smoothly. Therefore, by sending a person who has experience to
each branch, they can build and learn a new thing as teamwork. Table 4 shows salesman
information detail of Glam Body Beauty.

CUSTOMER’S INFORMATION
Glam Body Beauty has three types of customer which is individual, agent and store. There
are 101 customers in total (Agent:17-person, Company: 26 stores, Individual:58 person). Our
customers are from all over Malaysia and most of them are from Selangor. The products we offer
are suitable for all ages as everyone is entitled to be beautiful. Most of our users are from age 20-
29.
Glam Body’s customers can make purchases online or walk in. If they want to make a
purchase online, they must visit our website at www.glambodybeauty.com where a lot of benefits
are provided to our buyer such as free shipping with a minimum price of RM150 per order, free
gift, and fast shipping. In the meantime, if the customer prefers face to face, we are pleased to be
welcoming them at our branch located in Puchong, Kota Bharu, Kuantan, Georgetown, and Muar.
When they buy from us directly, it is easy for them to test the quality of our product since we
provide a tester and a great deal for our loyal customer. We can enhance the loyalty of our
customers by taking a good approach in direct sales and online sales, and we also hope to expand
the number of our customers in the future so that our sales increase. Aside from that, a positive
review from one of our clients can help to boost our company's reputation.

4. Customer analysis by age
In customer analysis by age, Glam Body Beauty chose a stacked column chart to visualize
the data analysis. A stacked column chart is a chart that allows you to compare parts to
wholes over time or across categories. In a stacked column chart, data series are stacked
in vertical columns one on top of the other. Because total column lengths are easy to
compare, stacked column charts can show change over time. It is easy to identify which
product sale by which age of customer, and it also states the total amount of product sold.
Glam Body Beauty uses a column chart to determine which product sold the most and
the lowest product. The chart can also tell Glam Body Beauty which products the
customer by age buy the most of and which products the customer by age buy the least.

The key that Glam Body Beauty needs to highlight for the past performance of the
business is the total sales. Our company was founded in 2016, and 10 employees were hired in
the same year. During that time, only three employees were in charge of sales. Most of Glam
Body Beauty’s employees lacked experience at the time, which is one of the reasons our
company's profits are low throughout the year. After that, Glam Body Beauty’s sales are low also
due to a misalignment of marketing and sales. One of the reasons marketing and sales are not in
alignment is that they both operate in silos, independently of one another. Mixed messaging is
unavoidable because neither knows what the other is doing. The marketing team will refer to a
product as one thing, while the sales team will refer to it as another.
Other than that, the company's sales decline because of poorly trained staff. Employees
who are inadequately trained are more likely to experience poor job performance and increased
levels of work-related stress. If your employees are dissatisfied and undervalued, they are more
likely to look elsewhere for opportunities for advancement and development. Employees also feel
demotivated and unappreciated, and as a result, their performance suffers and the company sales
will drop. Poor management is another factor that contributes to low sales. Poor management can
have a negative impact on the company's budget, employee turnover, and overall profits. Finally,
a drop in productivity and morale are indicators that employees are dissatisfied with the leadership

so that the company profit will increase steadily. Glam Body Beauty has overcome all of these
flaws and continues to grow year after year.
The key that Glam Body Beauty needs to highlight for the current performance of the
business is the total sales in the month January 2020. The total month sales in January are the
lowest of the year. This is due to the fact that most customers spend most of their money at the
beginning of the year on necessary items in preparation for their children to start school. On the
other hand, university students purchase necessary items such as groceries, books, and
computer equipment in order to prepare for the upcoming semester. Other than that, many are
affected with Covid-19. There are people who have lost job, increased expenses. Aside from
that, other competitors do a lot of early promotions to clear out their remaining stock. As a result,
most of our customers take advantage of this opportunity to shop at other stores. That is why our

company highlighted the month of January in the past performance because this month is the
lowest sales for the company.
Other than that, our company also wants to highlight the total profit throughout the year
as a key for the current performance of the business. The profit in the month of May is the highest
among the other months, as shown in the excel dashboard. This is due to the fact that the majority
of our customers purchase our personal care product in May in preparation for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The trend of the company graph is determined by the economic situation and events that occur
during the months. The current year trend shows no consistent increase or decrease. The current
business trend is determined by the economy's catalyst.
The last key that Glam Body Beauty highlights for the future performance of the business
is the total sales that the company might occur. Our company is preparing to develop its e-
commerce operation in order to expand further. Online sales have a wider range of customers
than face-to-face sales. This is because most customers own a smartphone, which they can use
at any time and from any location during the day. As a result, having a larger customer base
increases our sales potential while also lowering the company's operating costs such as utilities,
indirect workers, maintenance fees, and so on. To attract more customers, the company can sell
through third-party platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and others. In the future, the sales of the
company may increase because of online business. After that, Glam Body Beauty also is in
progress to develop innovation and unique products. Glam Body Beauty can produce a new
environmentally friendly product at a lower cost by conducting research and development.
Because of its low price and high content of organic ingredients, this product will attract a larger
number of customers. Customers also purchase our innovative products because they want to
contribute to a more environmentally friendly environment. As a result, our company's profit will
rise for the time being.

i. Explanation of how the present economic situation affects the company's performance
In the beginning of 2020 Glam Body Beauty’s sales also experienced a decline. This is
linked with the pandemic Covid 19 which started in China where many companies there had to
close in the effort to cut off the Covid 19 from continuing to spread. As a result, the production of
our company has become slow as the company is taking some goods from China. Hence there
was a decline in the trading industry worldwide starting that year. Lockdown started and people
only can access through online shopping only. That is why there was a decline in sales in our
company at the beginning of the year. However, starting April the sales are back to stable as there
is an increase in sales.
Furthermore, the sales of Glam Body Beauty experienced an increase at the end of the
year of 2021. This is because the Government started to open internal borders within Malaysia,
starting Ocktober the sales are back to stable as there is an increase in sales. People buy Glam
Beauty products for personal use and as gifts. People can bring it as a travel set as the packaging
is very convenient. Also people buy when we have clearance sales. Other than that, in December
the company had an increase in sales due to the withdrawal of I-Citra RM10k.
If we look on the other side, the economic situation that increases the performance of the
company includes celebration days such as Eid al-Fitr, Deepavali, Chinese New Year, and much
more. This event will boost the sales of Glam Body Beauty because people will buy body care
products for psychological reasons like self-esteem and boosting their attractiveness to men.

Another event that can increase the performance of Glam Body Beauty is the availability
of e-commerce in the modern era. Ecommerce is currently one of the most important emerging
and thriving sectors of web marketing. It has grown at a faster rate in recent years and is expected
to continue doing so. Ecommerce allows businesses to grow at a faster, more convenient, and
less expensive rate. Thanks to more than 60% of the world's population engaging in online
shopping, E-commerce has revolutionized the entire shopping experience. With this, users can
purchase goods in the comfort of their office chair, in their home, or while traveling. E-commerce
platforms allow buyers to purchase virtually anything, any time and from anywhere using the
internet. Glam Body Beauty's sales are increasing year after year due to the availability of e-
commerce. Glam Body Beauty will use the internet to increase sales while also lowering costs
such as marketing costs, delivery costs, and so on.

To begin the strategic decision made by the company to ensure its long-term viability in
the current economic environment by design of goods and services of Glam Body Beauty. This
decision area of operations management is applied based on market research, trends and
forecasting. For example, our company uses market research and trends to produce more
appropriate products according to the times.
Furthermore, the strategic decision that the company can apply to ensure its long-term
viability in the current economic environment is by enhancing marketing in business. Glam Body
Beauty offers a uniquely consistent shopping experience across its brick-and-mortar, web, and
mobile platforms with access to all our beauty products. Other than that, the graphics, promotions,
and featured products are aligned on all customer interfaces, allowing for seamless browsing,
and purchasing across various digital platforms. Our company also provides credit sales where if
the customer buys a product in bulk, we will offer a discount for them.
In addition, location strategy is one of the strategic decisions made by Glam Body Beauty
to ensure its long-term viability in the current economic environment. Glam Body Beauty has five
branches around Malaysia, this decision area of operation management is a minimal
consideration because these products are distributed through the public attraction. Our company
offers a superior customer service experience both in-store and online. In-store, our employees
are reputed for their deep product knowledge across brands and types, providing immediate
customer assistance.
Moreover, Glam Body Beauty is concerned about their employees. Thus, companies
provide employee training to improve their skill and knowledge in marketing. The employee must
therefore have knowledge before providing accurate information to our customer. To support its
in-store customer service, our company requires employees to attend training program, a
comprehensive induction program where employees are schooled in beauty science, extensive
knowledge of our company’s products, the attitude of the employee need to follow the code of
ethics that sets by our company (customer focused sales approach) and the management style.
Therefore, from that training our employees can become more productive and active when it
comes to assisting the customer.
