The Opportunity
KPMG in Canada is undergoing significant growth and is currently looking for an experienced
communications manager to elevate its internal communications for the National Advisory
practice.

This role is part of the National Corporate Communications & Corporate Affairs team, embedded
within the Advisory practice, where you will work closely with Advisory’s Director of Strategic &
Growth Initiatives. As the successful candidate for this role, you are a skilled consultant, capable
of leveraging and integrating National communications priorities, practices and channels to
effectively deliver results aligned to Advisory’s business objectives. You have demonstrated
success as a senior-level internal communications specialist, excellent writing and presentation
skills, and have a passion for developing strategy while simultaneously executing tactically.
You’re not a designer, but you do have an eye for creative content delivery.

What you will do

Seek out opportunities to meet and collaborate with colleagues and leaders across the firm
as you immerse yourself in learning about the many exciting ways KPMG Canada’s Advisory
team creates success for our clients, from risk and management consulting to cybersecurity
and deal advisory.
Lead the development of an annual communications strategy in support of the Advisory
business' strategic objectives and service offerings, in collaboration with the Advisory Centre
Leadership team.
Collaborate with colleagues and leaders across the organization to understand business
developments, build thoughtful messaging and execute flawlessly.
Deliver exceptional service to business stakeholders through high-quality work, strategic
planning and attention to detail.
Keep a pulse on industry and social media trends and translate your knowledge into tactics
and messages that align to Advisory’s business objectives.
Develop internal communications using a variety of mediums with a focus on delivering the
right message, to the right audience, at the right time.

What you bring to this role

5-8 years of internal communications experience, preferably in a large and/or complex


matrixed environment.
With at least 2 years working with more senior leaders, you present confidently, have
excellent executive presence and are comfortable pitching your ideas.
You (humbly acknowledge) “I have really creative ideas!”. At the same time, you’re open to
feedback, adaptable, and can iterate as needed to meet your audience – and your
stakeholders - where they are.
You a strong writer with a passion for creative design and adept at creating content for an
internal audience in ways that connect, inform, inspire, and enable employees to grow and
thrive.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality, professional work quickly – at times independently and
with little direction, as well as within a team dynamic
Demonstrated project management skills

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate may be
required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at
KPMG. The successful candidate may be required to create, interpret and/or apply policies,
practices, laws and and/or regulations during the regular course of their employment.
