SoW (Statement of Work)


Let’s consider “Daraz Platform” as a project. For the execution of this project, different process
has occurred. Details of these processes are as under:
1.Introduction
Daraz is a leading e-commerce platform in Asia that offers a wide range of products to its
customers at affordable prices. The objective of this project is to enhance the functionality and
user experience of the platform. This project includes the development of new features,
improvement of existing features, and upgrading the infrastructure to support higher traffic and
transactions. The project will also improve customer service and reduce the delivery time of the
products.
2.Objectives:
• Develop new features and improve existing features to enhance the user experience.
• Improve the infrastructure to support higher traffic and transactions.
• Reduce delivery time and improve customer service.
• Increase the number of products available on the platform.
• Expand the platform to new regions.
3.Scope:
• Analysis of current platform functionality and user experience.
• Development of new features, improvement of existing features, and upgrading of the
infrastructure.
• Integration with existing systems and third-party platforms.
• Testing, quality assurance, and deployment.
• Rollout to selected regions to test the functionality and gather user feedback.
• Expansion to new regions based on feedback and analysis.
4.Timeline:
The project will begin on April 1, 2024, and is expected to be completed by August 10, 2024
5.Budget:
The estimated budget for this project is $5 million .This includes the cost of app development,
database management, server costs, and marketing.

7.Risks:
External factors such as changes in regulations, economic conditions, and market competition
can negatively affect the project.
Technical challenges such as integration with existing systems, security risks, and scalability
issues can delay or hinder the project.
 Inadequate user feedback and low user adoption can impact the success of the project.
8.Project Deliverables:
Number Deliverables
1st deliverable Proposal document submitted on 1st week of the semester
2nd deliverable Document till half experiment/execution to be submitted.
Final Deliverable Complete thesis document with all results and conclusion to be submitted at
the end.
9.Milestones
After the selection of the project for IT Project Management course, the first milestone is the
project name proposal and the proposal presentation. After the proposal defense, student starts
the writeup for details and start doing the literature review. The second milestone is the progress
defense or can say as mid defense of project in which half of the execution or experimentation is
completed and results are being analyses for the final defense. The last milestone is the complete
document with complete writeup and final defense presentation.
Completion of the market analysis report - 3 months
Launch of the new product categories - 6 months
Launch of the user interface enhancements and customer service improvements - 9 months
Launch of the supply chain and logistics improvements - 12 months
Completion of the partnerships with local retailers and manufacturers - 18 months.
