DATA ANALYSIS
The data gathered from the participants shows the
influence of the length of school hours in relation to their
well-being and academic performance, their preferred
class schedule in terms of the time of their productivity,
and the current whole-day’s schedule’s influence on the
personal and extracurricular activities of the students.
In the first SOP of the study, based on the information given
by participants, majority of the students agrees that the
length of school hours has an effect on their overall
wellbeing, as well as it being difficult for them to balance
their time well in studies and personal life as the school
schedule consumes half of their day. Based on the majority
of the participants' answers the full day schedule has been
affecting their well-being negatively. It's also observed
that most of the students prefer a half day schedule
instead.
In the second SOP, in terms of the current whole-day’s
schedule’s influence on the personal activities of the students,
their answers are mostly influenced by the extracurricular
activities (for varsities), the transportation, capability to take
in information from different subjects, and time for academics.
For the last SOP, in terms of the reasons on how class hours
affect one’s productivity, the participants' responses were
mostly based on their well-being, the environment, and
convenience. Most of the participants preferred a half-day
schedule due to more personal time for well-being (physically
and mentally), and more convenience in transportation.
Although, some preferred a whole day schedule due to better
productivity in making requirements. Some participants chose
an asynchronous schedule due to a more relaxed and focused
environment, and less pressure at their home. On the other
hand, some participants chose a synchronous schedule due to
better motivation and productivity during class hours.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

Students prefer half-day schedules due to better time

management and reduced exhaustion. Whole-day
schedules limit personal time and make it difficult to
balance school and other responsibilities. Longer class
hours negatively impact focus, retention, and emotional
well-being, suggesting the importance of breaks and
manageable workloads.

CONCLUSIONS

Students' attentiveness is determined by the schedule less complicated. Others are in

conditions of the environment as well as
their own capabilities. Due to this, the
duration of the school schedule has an
impact on their physical and mental well-
being. Moreover, time inconvenience is a
primary factor that influences students'
ability to balance academic and personal
lives where they face time-consuming
problems everyday. All of this resulted in a
majority of the students finding a half-day
favor of the half-day schedule because of
extracurricular activities which gives them
time to prioritize their personal life.
Meanwhile, some prefer to maintain the
current class schedule. Nevertheless, in
order to provide students a more favorable
and productive learning environment, the
schedule must depend on both their
immediate surroundings and their study
space.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The study's findings suggest that future researchers should establish a

continuous evaluation system with their research teacher to monitor
progress and identify areas for improvement. The study also suggests
expanding the scope to include other students' preferences, employing
longitudinal research designs to examine variables over an extended
period, and anticipating potential delays to ensure a more comprehensive
investigation. The study also emphasizes the importance of allowing
flexibility in research plans to manage potential setbacks and adjust
schedules accordingly. These recommendations aim to provide a more
comprehensive understanding of the chosen topic.
