In my country, we celebrate about 7 times, but only two are my favorites.

First one, Aid EL-Adha, it’s an occasion that we celebrate in a different way. My father buy a
sheep to slaughter it the day of celebration, then we make barbecue with the liver and meat of
the sheep for lunch, every family in Morocco does this. In the evening, i’m used to meet my
friends at the backyard of my house and cook a dish together based on meat, each one of us
has to bring something and help to cook it on firewood, while the relatives came for a visit
and have dinner with my parents.
The Second occasion is Achoura. that day my mom exchange mixes of nuts,walnuts,almonds,
dates, and moroccan pastries with the neighbors, then plays music together using moroccan
traditional instruments. As a kid, i received bunch of toys, as i wandered many doors to ask
for money and candy which made it the best time, as well as amazing fireworks and light
bonfire in every street
