Applying for a Visa
• You must have the form I-20 and visa to enter the United
States in F-1 status.

• Your I-20 document will be mailed to you for you to apply for

What major do you plan to study?


HACC has a multitude of programs. However, it is very important that you review
the major on your I-20 document to make sure it matches your education goal prior
to your visa interview. Most students receive an I-20 for an "Education Level of
Other: Pathway Program." Please note that if you are starting with English as a
Second Language (ESL) classes and intend to complete a degree:

Health Insurance
HACC requires all international students to be enrolled in the HACC group health insurance plan through
LewerMark. Please note that HACC does not accept any alternative forms of insurance. All international students
who are registered for classes at HACC will automatically be enrolled in the health insurance plan and your student
account will be billed for the health insurance fee. If you have a pre-existing medical condition or illness, or are
pregnant, we recommend that you do not cancel any current insurance coverage until you consult with LewerMark.
We will review additional information on health insurance at orientation.
