COVID-19 RULES AND GUIDELINES
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the following has been put in place to minimise risk of
infection at our school.
Before entering the school, your temperature will be taken and your hands must be
sanitized.
Proper hand hygiene – washing frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Frequent use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
Only dry hands using paper towels and dispose immediately after use.
Practice good respiratory hygiene (cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing;
dispose of tissues and wash hands)
Frequent cleaning/disinfection of work surfaces and touch points such as door
handles.
Wear a mask at all times.
Change your mask daily.
Gloves should be used but must be changed frequently and hands must be washed
between glove changes and when gloves are removed.
Gloves must be changed after carrying out non-food related activities, such as
opening/closing doors by hand, and emptying bins.
You should be aware that wearing gloves can allow bacteria to build up on the surface
of the hands, so handwashing is extremely important when gloves are removed to
avoid subsequent contamination of food.
You should avoid touching your mouth and eyes when wearing gloves.
Keep at least a one-meter distance from other students and The Chef
Should you feel ill, kindly notify the Chef immediately.
Notify the Chef via group chat should you have any of the following symptoms and do
not come to class
• a fever (high temperature – 37.5 degrees Celsius or above)
• a cough - this can be any kind of cough, not just dry
• shortness of breath
• breathing difficulties
• fatigue
Notify the Chef should you have encountered anyone who has contracted the virus
and do not return to class.
I, ________________________________ hereby accept the above rules and guidelines and will
adhere to them when on the premises of the baking school
