A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DAILY COLLECTION OF ONE PESO FOR

FUNDING THE POLLUTION REDUCTION PROGRAM (PRP) A PROJECT
PROPOSED BY LEYTE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL – SALOG ANNEX SUPREME
SECONDARY LEARNER GOVERNMENT (SSLG) TO ADDRESS ENVIRONMENTAL
POLLUTION.

WHEREAS the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) recognizes the

pressing need to address environmental degradation and pollution within the school and
surrounding community; and

WHEREAS the SSLG committed to implementing proactive measures to mitigate

pollution and promote environmental sustainability; and

WHEREAS the Pollution Reduction Program (PRP) has been identified as a crucial
initiative aimed at reducing pollution levels and fostering a cleaner and healthier
environment; and

WHEREAS sustainable funding is essential to the successful implementation and

continuation of PRP;

Be it resolved, by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), that:

1. A daily collection of one peso (Php 1.00) per student shall be instituted to fund
the Pollution Reduction Program (PRP) effective immediately.
2. The collected funds shall be allocated exclusively towards the implementation of
the PRP, including but not limited to:
 Procurement of recycling bins and waste management infrastructure.
 Implementation of eco-friendly initiatives within the school premises.
3. The SSLG Treasurer shall be responsible for overseeing the collection,
management, and disbursement of funds associated with the PRP.
4. A transparent and accountable financial report detailing the income and
expenditures related to PRP shall be presented to the SSLG body and made
accessible on a quarterly basis.

 5. The SSLG shall collaborate with the relevant stakeholders, including school
administrators and faculty members to ensure the effective implementation and
monitoring of the PRP.
6. The SSLG shall encourage active student participation and engagement in PRP-
related activities to foster sense of ownership and responsibility towards
environmental stewardship.
7. This resolution shall remain in effect until further notice, subject to periodic review
and evaluation by the SSLG to assess its effectiveness and make necessary
adjustments as deemed appropriate.

RESOLVED FURTHER that a copy of this resolution is furnished to Honorable Teotima

D. Velunta, President of School Parent, Teachers Association.

ADOPTED this 11th day of March, 2024 at Leyte National High School – Salog Annex,
Brgy Salog Leyte, Leyte, Philippines.

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE MARIE KATHRYN V.

KABIGTING, ONE OF THE BOARD MEMBERS OF THE THIRD DISTRICT OF LEYTE
FOR POSSIBLE ALLOCATION OF FUND THE CONSTRUCTION OF GRADE 8
MAKESHIFT CLASSROOM OF LEYTE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL – SALOG
LOCATED AT BARANGAY SALOG, LEYTE, LEYTE.

WHEREAS, Article XIV Section I of the 1987 Philippine Constitution provides that “the
State shall protect and promote the right of the citizens to quality education at all levels,
and shall take appropriate steps to make such education accessible to all”.

WHEREAS, the Leyte National High School – Salog, which has been established in the
year 2018, is now considered as an annex school considering its number of teachers
and learners;

WHEREAS, the Leyte National High School – Salog is facing a critical challenge
regarding the shortage of classroom space to accommodate the increasing numbers of
learners.

WHEREAS, the rapid growth in enrolment has stretched existing facilities of the school
to their limits, resulting in lack of classrooms and compromised learning environments;

WHEREAS, providing a conducive learning environment is essential to ensure

academic success and well-being of the students;

WHEREAS, the construction of a makeshift classroom is deemed necessary to address

the immediate needs of the school and to ensure that every student has access to
quality education

THEREFORE, be it resolved by Homeroom, Parents and Teachers’ Association:

1. That the makeshift classroom shall be constructed on the premises of Leyte

National High School – Salog.

 2. That the request shall outline the urgent need for additional classroom space to
accommodate the increasing learner population and improve the learning
conditions at the school.
3. That the request shall emphasize the importance of providing a conducive
learning environment for learners to ensure their over-all well-being.
4. That the request shall seek support and assistance of the provincial government
in allocating the necessary funds and resources for the construction of the
makeshift classroom.
5. That the resolution be forwarded to the Office of the Board Member for
consideration and appropriate action.

RESOLVED this 13th day of April, 2024 at Leyte National High School – Salog Annex,
Brgy. Salog Leyte, Leyte.
