Title: A report of Students’ exchange Programme with Korean students

This is a brief report of the activities that will take place from 12th November- 20th November, 2023 in
the students’ exchange programme. Exchange programme is an indispensable opportunity that
allows a student to appreciate the people's diverse cultures as well as the beauty of this planet. It
also prepares the student broadly for the working world instead of only concentrating on one's
country alone.

There will be 8 Korean students accompanied by 2 Korean teachers. The students’ age group is from
15-17 years old. One of the main reasons of the visit is to build a rapport between Malaysian
students and the Korean students. In addition to that, students will have the opportunities to
exchange knowledge and cultural experiences.

There will be a few activities planned for the oncoming programme. Firstly, there will be cooking
lesson for traditional food of Malaysia such as nasi lemak and roti canai. Besdes, there will be
showcase of traditional games such as congkak, batu Seremban and gasings. On the second day, the
Korean students will be brought to visit local attractions such as Penang Heritage sites, the state
museum, the state library, historical buildings at fort Cornwalis and beaches in Penang.

Based on the survey, the best souvenirs should be given to our visitors are the Batik gift set. In the
set, we can include batik handkerchief, batik shirt and handmade batik foldable fan.

In summary, the programme has a lot of benefits which will broaden student’s educational
perspectives and enhancing opportunities to explore and appreciate new cultures. I hope the
programme will be carried out successfully.
