2. Lovemore NYANDORO and Tanyaradzwa MAKORE were force marched into the office
where Leonard MUTASA and Aaron PEDZISAI the fuel attendances, were resting. All
complainants were forced to lie down before they were tied both hands and legs using shoe
laces. Leonard MUTASA was assaulted by an unknown object on his head.
3. The accused persons searched Leonard MUTASA and took Honor cellphone with Netone
and buddie lines and USD $70-00, from Lovemore NYANDORO they took Huwaei Y9
prime with buddie line, USD $80-00 and 50 by 20 litre diesel coupons, from Tanyaradzwa
MAKORE they took a shotgun serial number 689249 without rounds, Samsung cellphone
with buddie line then from Aaron PEDZISAI they took Samsung A04 cellphone with buddie
line, handcuffs and pepper spray. The accused persons also destroyed CCTV cameras.
4. Whilst the robbery was in progress, two police officers from Chikwanha base number
990124N Sgt Mbwachena and number 074234N Cst Mandhloro arrived at the service station
on patrol and not armed. The two were intercepted by the accused persons who dragged them
into the offices. Cst Mandhloro was tied with shoe laces on both hands and legs, assaulted
with an unknown object and the accused persons took his police Hytera handheld radio
18619 C0399.
5. The accused persons then demanded safe keys from the fuel attendances and they were told
that the keys were not available. They then went on to blast the safe using dynamites but they
failed to break it.
6. The accused persons then left the scene using Sgt Mbwachena's vehicle a Nissan note AFZ
8563, silver in colour, as a getaway car which they later dumped at corner Seke and Tilco road
Chikwanha. The car keys were not found.
7. Complainants were then untied by Sgt Mbwachena who was never tied. A report was made at
ZRP Zengeza and scene was attended by Duty Officer Supt Tanga and a team from ZRP
Zengeza led by Inspector Mutumbi. CID Homicide Harare also attended the scene being led by
Detective Assistant Inspector MUDYAWABIKWA. The accused persons were not located.
Complainant 1 sustained a swollen head and a cut above the right cheek and was bleeding from
the nose. Cst Mandhloro sustained a cut on the right cheek and is complaining of chest pain.
They were referred to Chitungwiza hospital for treatment.
8. Total value stolen is $1300-00. Nothing was recovered and no arrest was made.
