Atractions: Pick up from the hotel and departure to the Cal Orck’o Cretaceous Park located in the active limestone quarry of FANCESA
4.5 km east of the city of Sucre. The world's largest dinosaur footprint site has tectonic layers that contain the footprints are
located in the Molino formation and the geological era to which they belong is the Late Cretaceous (Maastrichtian). Cal Orck’o
is the most spectacular site of its kind in the world and constitutes evidence that a short time before their extinction, the
diversity of dinosaurs was much greater than had been thought.
In addition, it is the only site that concentrates the footprints of a wide variety of dinosaurs that lived at the end of the
Cretaceous period. There is a unique combination of dimension, geological importance, biodiversity and also data on the
different social behaviors of dinosaurs. Around 5000 dinosaur prints of 332 species distributed in a cliff of more than 1.0 km
long by 1.10 meters high await the visitor to amaze him with this wonder of nature. Thanks to this discovery, the Park was
developed that also recreates the fauna and flora of the Mesozoic and Tertiary eras, there is a viewpoint to appreciate the
tracks, audiovisual rooms that explain many very important scientific data about these beings and their passage through the
earth. Among the sculptures made under the supervision of paleontologists there is a Titanosaur being the largest dinosaur
sculpture in the world, the famous Tyrannosaurus Rex, an Ankylosaurus, varieties of herbivores, carnivores, reptiles and
amphibians. At the end of the visits, transfer back to the hotel.
