PRIVATE PIANO LESSONS

Private piano lessons are available to Charles Wright Academy students in grades 1-12. Highly qualified
teachers give lessons for beginning through advanced students.

Lessons are given weekly at a cost of $25 for one-half hour. Lessons may be scheduled during lunch,
recess, after school, or during specific classes, with classroom teacher and parent permission. The
following guidelines are used in scheduling the lessons:

1. Piano lessons are available to students in grades 1-12. If a student is in first grade, readiness for
lessons will be determined with input from the homeroom teacher.

2. Continuing students are scheduled first.

3. New students are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis until all available spaces are filled.
After that, students will be placed on a waiting list.

4. Families will be notified of their child’s status as soon as possible, with lessons beginning the
second week of school.

Families make a commitment for a full semester, and the school bills lesson fees each month. There is a
$30 sign-up fee for all students that will be charged with the first month’s lessons each year. Piano
teachers will provide students with books at no additional charge. If a student misses a lesson because of
a school related activity (e.g. field trip or a no-school day), there will be no charge for the lesson. A lesson
missed for other reasons will result in a charge to the student account.
